B.S.U. Campus – Round 18: ‘You Turn the Screws, Pt. 2′

Filed under: Anderson,B.S.U. Campus,Davis,O`Hanlon,Saunders,Summary — Tags: , , , , , , — Mao @ 8:11 am

Zhou Yu and River Saunders have an awkward relationship, but with the addition of four others, their lives are about to get more interesting. Patrick O`Hanlon is happy to finally be free and explore his… options. Michael Saunders just wants to survive college; Elena Davis has her goal in mind, but her boyfriend Fou-Lu Yu doesn’t seem to have any ambition at all.

Elena, Michael, and Fou-Lu all traveled to University together. Michael had got stuck driving, while Elena and Fou-Lu often forgot he was in the front seat. It was a little weird to have to be in the same with car with your sister who is making out with someone you’ve known since childhood.

He was happy to be free of the confines of the car, while Elena was happy to finally be in college. Fou-Lu was just impressed with how hot Elena turned out to be.

Patrick arrived later that evening, having hitched a ride with a hot chick. Why he was so late was never put to question, as it went without asking. Patrick was pleased with his roommates, though he had wished desperately to have his own place. Still, having people to talk to was pretty cool, and he was related to some of these people, too, so meeting relatives was interesting.

It turned out Zhou wasn’t upset about Falco “flying the coop”, so to speak, and just bought about bird. It was this that brought their relationship into more official territory.

“It’s just a bird, babe,” Zhou had said, laughing. “He’s probably teaching his bird friends to swear, too. That’s cool with me.”

River chose to ignore the fact that the bird was quite possibly teaching other birds to swear and instead focus on Zhou’s unfaltering ability to be sweet.

Elena had done a lot of thinking during her time stuck in the house before coming to University. She decided to pursue her dream of being a world-famous dancer. As usual, Michael lingered in the background doing something boring and nerdy while she practiced.

It wasn’t long before Fou-Lu located her and extracted her from her practicing.

Michael had left in favor of less ‘intimate’ places while Fou-Lu pulled Elena into a hug.

“This dancing stuff isn’t so bad,” he said jokingly. “You look good in spandex.”

“Lu, stop it,” Elena scolded, though she made no move to pull away. “I have to do my exercises.”

“There are other ways of exercising if you’re that worried about it…”

She sighed, and smacked him hard on the arm, causing him to pull away. He gave her a look and broke out into laughter. She hit him again, lighter this time. He was such a joker and that worried her. Would he ever take life seriously?

As the first year came to a close, everyone fell into a routine. Michael and River had an art class together, despite their complete lack of creative skills. They found solace in one another’s company and general inepitude, muttering under their breath about the unfairness of college gen-ed courses as they hastily smeared gobs of paint on empty canvases.

Patrick and Zhou often studied together, though Zhou was horrified when his books got confused with Patrick’s. His mouth dropped when he opened the book to find a questionable picture of a co’ed… and upon dropping it, several more falling out and littering the floor.

“Dude!” Zhou said, gesticulating feverishly with his hands, unable to say anything else.

Patrick looked stunned as well, picking up a picture and admiring it, “I forgot I had this one.”

“Is that ou… our literature professor?”

Patrick grinned, snapping Zhou’s book closed and handing it over, “nice, huh?”

“Dude!!”

B.S.U. Campus – Round 17: ‘Crushcrushcrush, Pt. 2′

Zhou Yu and River Saunders haven’t spoken much since the impromptu kiss when they were teenagers. Will the next two years be incredibly awkward or eye-opening?

Zhou and River knew what to expect when they arrived at campus. Everyone in Boreal Springs got the same scholarship and that scholarship led them all to the same housing arrangement. After unpacking and getting settled, they prepared their own food and sat down.

“Don’t you think this is kind of… awkward?” Zhou said finally, surprising River. She had been trying to avoid looking at him since she arrived. It was eaiser now that she saw the silver jutting out of his eyebrow and lip.

“No,” River replied, giving him a look, “though I am surprised. With as much as you deny being like your mother, you sure look like her.”

Zhou took the comment in stride and let it slide off, “I could say the same for you, River.”

This was going to be an interesting two years.

River hadn’t realized how much she missed Zhou’s ridiculously aggressive ways until the cow mascot came by and tried to start trouble. Zhou put an end to that real quick, grabbing hold of its foam hoof and twisting it. The person inside cried out, cringing backwards in horror.

Zhou shouted a few obscenties after the fleeing mascot, causing River to cringe. She certainly hadn’t missed his horrible mouth.

Of course, the shouting he had done at the cow was nothing in comparison to the match he had with the sink. Zhou was so much like Lilith it wasn’t even funny and instead of actually trying to rationally think through fixing the sink, he smacked at it with a wrench and yelled obscenities.

River eventually had to shut off the water and fix it herself. It took her a moment or two to pry the wrench out of Zhou’s clenched fist.

River was incredibly surprised when she came home from class to find a large bird cage standing in her way. She watched as Zhou gently held a bird of considerable size on his arm, talking animatedly to it.

“Zhou, what are you doing?”

“Isn’t it cool? It’s a bird,” Zhou replied, not bothering to turn around. “His name is Falco.”

River resisted the urge to roll her eyes and instead said, “Falco’s cage is blocking the phone… are we even allowed to have pets?”

“Falco’s a bird, River! What’s he gonna do?”

River really, really wasn’t fond of Falco and Falco didn’t care much for River, either. What annoyed her the most was when Zhou would walk around with Falco on his shoulder. He’d tried to teach the bird to speak, but all it could say was a rather inappropriate word River would have preferred not to hear every ten seconds.

“Zhou, put the bird away, we have to go to class.”

“I’m taking him with me,” Zhou replied happily. “It’s part of my experiment for my animal psychology class.”

“But all he does is swears!”

At this, he got really excited, “I know! Isn’t it awesome? That means it worked!

River simply blinked and followed him out of the house. She couldn’t understand how some part of her was infinitely attracted to this seemingly barbaric individual.

But then he did things to remind her why that part of her refused to let go and continued to nag at her every moment. Lately students had been trying to start greek houses and a would-be frat boy stormed into the house, naked and very proud of that fact. River was clearly horrified, especially given the fact that she hadn’t even had anatomy class yet and the one she had in high school certainly didn’t cover the basics of what he was currently putting on display.

One black eye, a nearly broken leg, and probably a fractured rib later, the frat boy was running full tilt back to his home base with Zhou easily able to keep up with him. River remained horrified for several days, unable to look at males the same way again. Euuugh!

One afternoon, after they had both arrived home from their individual classes, Zhou stopped River. He had been good about giving her space (well, as much space as was possible given how prone he was to beating the crap out of anyone who came too close…), but was unable to gauge how she was feeling. So he decided to voice his worries.

“Did you turn gay or something after that? I mean, that’s okay, if you did–”

River was horrified, “I’m not gay, Zhou!” She practically shouted it and was suddenly very, very embarassed. “That guy just startled me, that’s all.”

“So come out with me then,” he suggested, taking her hand. “I promise, there will be no naked idiots or annoying cows. I’ll even leave Falco here.”

She laughed, “all right, but it’s just as friends, okay?”

River was lying to herself if she thought she could win the war inside her head. Regardless of Zhou’s questionable personality traits and penchant for violence, River was in love. River knew Zhou better than anyone else. It was unfortunate, then, when she walked in the door after coming home from class only to see Falco fly past her head and out the door.

Zhou had begged her to clean Falco’s cage because he had an overnight sleep lab class of some sort. River had done so, but apparently forgot to close Falco’s cage. Falco was now looong gone. River was in trouble.

———–

Note from Mao: These two were so boring in Uni. They had like NO wants for one another, but would autonomously flirt and make out. Zhou had a want to buy a bird and so I indulged him. They kept having the same wants, day in, day out. I’m wondering if it’s because I installed JM’s want/fear sanity hack. We’ll see. I may end up removing it if this continues! They did have a want to go on a date and so I did that, but no pictures. I hate how all dates must end in WooHoo, so when they rolled those wants, I ignored them. Sorry, but having no wants for one another outside the date and suddenly wanting to WooHoo? That’s careless and River isn’t that way. xb

B.S.U. Campus – Round 16: ‘Heir Trouble, End’

Roman Anderson is trying to keep his family name from dropping below its faculties, but his twin, Nevio, isn’t helping any.  To make matters worse, Laci’s plan seems to have worked.

Laci did her best to hide her happiness.  Her plan had worked, not that she had ever doubted herself for a single second.  Nevio didn’t have the same intelligence or cautious nature his brother did and so it was only a matter of time before all their fooling around got them into trouble.  Laci had him right where she wanted him, that money would be hers.

“Are you sure?” Nevio replied, shocked.  His face was nearly as white as his shirt.

“Yes, of course.  I even took two tests and I’ve already scheduled the visit.”

Nevio swallowed, unable to think of a fitting response.  This was not good at all.

As any son would do in a situation like this, Nevio phoned his mother immediately.  Alyssa made the drive as soon as she was able and met with her very anxious son.  She knew what her father, Thomas, would do in this situation… but Alyssa wasn’t Thomas.  She sighed and with a heavy heart, said:

“She can’t stay here, Nevio.  College is no place for a pregnant girl.  She’ll come home with me and then you’ll marry as soon as you finish the accelerated program they offer.  You’re a senior, it won’t be that difficult.”

“B-But, mom–”

“No buts, Nevio.  You can’t just cast her out on the street.  You have to make this right…”

“This is preposterous, mother!” Roman raged, unable to contain himself.  “You’re giving Laci exactly what she wants, she wants the money!  That’s the only reason she allowed herself to get knocked up in the first place.  That lustful skank will bleed you dry!”

“Roman Anderson!” Alyssa scolded, arms folded over her chest.  “I did not raise you to speak like that.  Regardless as to what Laci is or is not, it no longer matters.  She’s now carrying my grandchild.  I will do what I must to ensure that poor thing’s future.  Surely you can understand…”

“No, I can’t,” Roman snapped, turning away from her.  “You’re making a mistake, mother, a very big mistake.  You’ll lose everything.”

Despite Roman’s protests, Alyssa and Nevio went through the motions.  Nevio proposed and Laci was suitably pleased.  She packed up all her belongings and put them in the car with Alyssa.  She had no qualms about quitting University.  It wasn’t like she’d actually need an education–Laci didn’t even plan to work.  There was absolutely no reason to!

Alyssa knew that Roman was right, but she couldn’t bring herself to cast the baby aside.  If anything, it could be saved.

Roman, fueled by his anger, bought a community lot within Boreal Springs and opened it to the public.  It was the end of his senior year and he had plenty of time to devote to it.  With his careful management and financial savvy, it climbed the ranks.  The once lowly general store was now a pivotal business within the small suburb.  Even Mary O`Hanlon came by to congratulate him on his endeavor

A reviewer from Aperture stopped by and was pleased enough to give Roman an award for service and reliability.  Of course, Shang Yu was passing by at the time and more than happy to give his two cents.

“Congrats, dude, and hey, she’s hot!”

Roman rolled his eyes and accepted the award.  He was sure to hang it over the door so that everyone who entered would see it.

With his business ventures begun, it was time for the next thing on his list.  He had kept in contact with Cara Nanale and they had built a relationship, though hardly to the extent of his brother’s.  He proposed to her with the intent of marrying her as soon as the house he had bought was built enough to be a suitable home to the two of them.  Cara was beyond overwhelmed, but certainly happy.  She’d be off the islands and Roman seemed to be very kind and respectful.  Not once had he tried to cross any lines and Cara could wear a white dress with pride.

Of course, she had no idea that Roman was simply protecting his own interests in doing so.  There would be no bastard children to take his wealth, that much was certain.

——–

Note from Mao: Laci’s pregnancy threw me for a loop!  Never have I had YAs get pregnant so easily.  Yikes.  I think I fixed my community lots, which is good.  I really missed having them!!  Roman’s business is almost rank 10 already, haha.  As for Cara, he had a want to get engaged, but never rolled any woohoo wants.  Fortune sims, haha, what are you gonna do?

B.S.U. Campus – Round 15: ‘Heir Trouble, Pt. 2′

Roman Anderson was Thomas’ intended heir, but died before he could put it to paper. So, now the irresponsible Nevio and his gold-digging girlfriend are privy to the Anderson fortune. Will Roman be able to help his brother or will Nevio dig his own grave?

The three settled into the house as easily as any other. It was a bit small and meager for Roman’s tastes but neither Nevio or Laci seemed to mind. Perhaps what bothered Roman most was Laci herself. She was so obviously in it just for the money. The fact that Nevio didn’t see that or didn’t care was just indicative of his own instability. Roman wished dearly Thomas had the chance to pen his name as heir.

With Nevio in the position, it was likely they would be paupers in less than a year’s time.

The first act of unnecessary excess was the trip to the islands. Nevio insisted that he needed a break, that all the academic pressure was getting to him. At this, Roman rolled his eyes. Pressure? Where? The professors were terrified of giving him anything below a ‘B’ and his work certainly warranted much less. Roman wouldn’t even go into what Laci did to pass. All he could do is shake his head–Nevio had full control of the money now.

Letting his brother to his own devices, Roman went off on his own. It was then that he met up with a very intriguing islander. He had heard rumors ever since Tracey Saunders joined Boreal Springs; that a lot of the islanders hated being stuck on an overrun tourist trap and sought homes elsewhere. Cara Nanale was certainly one of those people. She even refused traditional dress!

She was shy and quiet, though, and made no wicked plans in her head for escape. It was only by chance she happened to cross Roman’s path and catch his eyes. She had a rather plain beauty about her.

Prompted by his frequent meetings with Cara, Roman decided to have a talk with Nevio. The vacation would soon be winding to a close and Roman hadn’t seen one act of restraint on Nevio’s part.

“What, suddenly you don’t think I’m a good heir?”

“Nevio, you know it isn’t that. But you’re making a bad first impression with Laci. Can’t you see what she’s after?”

Nevio shrugged, “so what? It isn’t like I’m going to marry her.”

“That’s even worse, you idiot! She’s going to trap you and then what? You’re so careless you’ll fall easily into the trap. I swear, Nevio, I think mother dropped you on your head too many times! Can’t you look past your own issues and see what you’re doing to our family?”

“Whatever, Roman,” Nevio said, sliding off his chair. “It isn’t like I have to listen to you anymore, anyway.”

Meanwhile, Laci was enjoying the excesses that dating Nevio Anderson provided. So far, her plan was working great. Nevio thought they were just messing around–casual girlfriend and boyfriend. They were being careful, but not careful enough. Sooner or later, it would happen and she’d have him right where she wanted him. Laci wasn’t terribly interested in children, but one would be worth nailing Nevio’s hand down. She wanted that money and no one, not even Roman, would stand in her way.

While it may have seemed Roman was preoccupied with Cara, he wasn’t. His brother’s problems and the family’s jeopardy were always forefront in his mind. In fact, that’s why he paid attention to Cara. She had the right sort of mindset to be a worthy wife of someone with money. She didn’t seem to be easily impressed by material wealth and her willingness to please those around her was more than suitable.

Roman had entertained thoughts of introducing her to Nevio, but soon found he couldn’t put her through that. He wasn’t completely heartless.

On the last day of their vacation, Roman caught Laci away from Nevio. He wasted no time letting her know that he was onto her and he would do everything in his power to keep her from screwing the family over.

“Oh, don’t be stupid, Roman,” she smiled pleasantly, “we both know who has power here. You can’t threaten me.”

“Don’t get cute with me, Laci, it won’t work. I will find a way to excise you much like the tumor you are.”

She moved closer, looking at him through her eyelashes, “why must you be so cruel? Can’t you see what a… nice… arrangement this could come to be?”

“You’re disgusting.” Roman fumed, pushing past her.

She laughed, watching him stalk off, “but I’m winning, aren’t I?”

———

Note from Mao: Roman and Laci are the type that have two bolts but do not get along at all. It’s hilarious watching them tear into one another. Poor Nevio is such a dolt. As for Cara… all I did were cosmetic changes. I’ve done this to a few townies, to remove their defaults/etc. I don’t know what their aspirations/etc are. Somehow, I messed up Cara’s default outfit. Woops, lol. But the only thing tampered with were her skintone and eyes. That’s all! I am really hoping she’s not another Romance sim.

B.S.U. Campus – Round 14: ‘Lies, Lies, Lies, Pt. 4′

Julie O`Hanlon and Asia Ternynck are in love; Julie’s parents are oblivious. Marla O`Hanlon has her own vices and Katarina Anderson is more than ready to indulge her friend.

Julie sighed, listening to her Aunt Gina on the other end. Gina knew the circumstances between Julie and Asia the second they visited for dinner and was intent on getting Julie to fess up to her parents. Unfortunately, Julie wasn’t so easily swayed. She was the heir to the O`Hanlon name and being a lesbian could jeopardize that.

She didn’t want to give up her birthright, but she also didn’t want to give up Asia. She hoped that Gina was right and that her parents would love her no matter what, but who could say? Julie wasn’t ready to risk it.

Meanwhile, Marla and Katarina were indulging themselves. The new connection to Aperture gave them a bevy of options. They could often be found skipping out on class in favor of getting toasted and singing really bad 70s hits in a karaoke bar.

They enjoyed themselves so much that they decided they would surely move to Aperture upon graduation. Who could deny the pull of the city life? The sleepy burb, with its white picket fences and perfect lawns, was hardly their style.

Marla had always had her own problems and shortcomings. They were both thanks to Katarina dragging her through trouble and also her own issues with being second fiddle to Julie. She loved her twin dearly, but she was jealous. Julie was in love–even if it was a girl–and she got to take the house their grandmother Eileen had founded Boreal Springs. What did Marla get? Failing grades, as far as Boreal Springs Summit University was concerned.

She spent a lot of time milling the bars of Aperture. It was there that she met her own kind of special friend.

She spoke to him secretly on the phone in the house back on campus. They would meet downtown, but he never came back with her. Marla was afraid he’d see the place and realize she wasn’t as wealthy as she seemed. Hanging out with the mayor’s daughter and Thomas Anderson’s granddaughter, Katarina Anderson, had given Marla the appearance of being wealthy. The O`Hanlons were comfortable, but hardly wealthy.

So she kept her true life a secret and enjoyed the thrill of meeting her beau in the hot spots downtown, being wined and dined. He was a little older than her and was going through a divorce. Her parents would be livid if they found out.

Julie decided that there was no way she could ever leave Asia behind, no matter what her parents might think. So she proposed. Asia was overjoyed and hoped this meant they could finally be open about their relationship. She had been concerned, too, but she was a teen and silly. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Julie was the one for her. She just hoped Julie was as secure as she was when it came time to face her parents.

——–

Note from Mao: Very boring Uni turn. At least it’s over, yay! Any clue as to who Marla’s mystery beau is? You’ll find out eventually, no worries. Marla really does enjoy booze, too. Anytime Katarina drug her downtown, she headed straight for the bar! Lush.

B.S.U. Campus – Round 13: ‘Lies, Lies, Lies, Pt. 2′

Asia Ternynck joins the hood as Julie O`Hanlon’s secret girlfriend. Marla O`Hanlon drags her best friend and cousin, Katarina Anderson, to University with her. Can this diverse group of girls get along?

Katarina Anderson had been hesitant when her mother insisted she go to University. The deciding factor for her had been the freedom and, of course, Marla. Katarina was a bit of a wild child, so she didn’t get along with many people. Marla was her one true friend and though she felt bad for dragging her into all her misdeeds, she knew she couldn’t do it alone.

She wasn’t surprised to find out that Julie brought her girlfriend with her. Katarina had always suspected her cousin walked to the beat of her own drum.

Katarina stilled had plenty of fun with Shang Yu. When he was out with his band, he would drop by. Of course, they both knew that it was risky. Any one of the girls in the house could rat them out. Then Katarina would be forced to face the wrath of both her mother and Aunt Florence. It was a scary thought, but not scary enough to keep them from seeing each other on a regular basis. They were birds of a feather, they had to ‘flock’ together…

Despite the unsavoriness of the situation, the girls did their best not to say anything. That is, until Shang brought up the unthinkable.

“So, you’re a lesbian, right?” Shang said, looking at Julie. “You know, if you ever need a silent observer–”

Julie glared at him, “get real, Shang!”

“Shang,” Katarina interrupted. “They’re lesbians, that means they have zero interest in men sexually! The last thing they want is you watching.”

Shang laughed, obviously joking, “who cares what they want–this is all about me, baby.”

“I think we’ll pass, Shang. Thanks.” Asia said, shaking her head.

Asia wasn’t a native of Boreal Springs, but she knew enough about Shang to fill an almanac. He was a womanizing fool who spent his days playing guitar and wooing women. She had seen him get burned, too. That was always the best part. She did her best not to pay attention, but it was hard. Sometimes, men like Shang needed a good slap. It would be the only time Asia would ever cheer for a cheerleader.

Of course, Julie and Asia furthered their relationship without Shang’s perverse eyes. They were quite happy together and Julie was certain she had made the right decision in asking Asia to come to University with her. She just wished she could share her happiness with her family. They expected her to carry on the family name and that wasn’t something you could do easily without some way to procreate. Florence Anderson and Shaniqua Saunders had managed it, though, and Julie was convinced she didn’t have to give up her claim on the family name just because of her life choice.

Besides, it wasn’t like Marla wanted it, anyway. Julie was the only option.

Asia wasn’t as happy parading around in secret. She wanted to meet Julie’s family and get it all over and done with. She was certain it wouldn’t be as big a deal as Julie was making it.

“I just can’t, not now,” Julie sighed, wishing Asia would understand. “Everything is a mess; my dad is on trial for murder and my older sister, Sara, just had a baby… unwed. Mom is livid right now. It’s just bad timing.”

Asia wasn’t giving up, “so what will be good timing, then? We’re nearly two years into University, Julie. They have to find out eventually. The sooner, the better. They’re your family, if they love you, they’ll accept you.”

“It just isn’t that easy. I wish it was, but it wasn’t. Just a little more time, please? I promise, I’ll tell them… just not now.”

“Okay, but I’m holding you to that promise.”

Katarina wasn’t a smart girl, this much had been proven throughout her years in public and private schooling. Even tutors found themselves at a loss when it came to getting information through that thick skull of hers. So, to survive University, Katarina had to find an alternative option. Lucky for her, a lot of her professors were perverts with tenures. Katarina Anderson found she was getting A’s for the first time in her life. She even made the Dean’s List!

Who knew the Dean was a perv, too?

———–

Note from Mao: Who better to sleep their way through Uni than Katarina? Seriously! I know Marla wasn’t in this one much, but she hasn’t done anything interesting yet. Maybe she’ll find love next round. I need to update the database, but I feel lazy today.

B.S.U. Campus – Round 12: ‘Polyamorous, Pt. 1′

Shang Yu enjoys being a swinging bachelor while Kate seems to think they have an exclusive ‘relationship’. Unfortunately for Shang, he doesn’t quite know how far Kate is willing to go to ensure that her belief is made truth.

Alyssa Anderson and her daughter, Katarina, stopped by the house during their tour of the University. Alyssa was trying to get Katarina interested in furthering her education. Sure, she wasn’t the brightest, but anyone could get into college with the right amount of money. Alyssa was determined that Katarina have a bright future ahead of her.

Shang was more than happy to welcome to the two women. Kate was out, much to Alyssa’s chagrin, but Katarina could have cared less. She was much more interested in Shang.

Alyssa, having been a previous resident of the house, went upstairs to revisit one of her favorite spots–the hot tub. Shang took this as his opportunity to make nice with the mayor of Boreal Springs. Alyssa was older, yes, but she was hot. Her marriage was on the rocks, too, so that meant she was vulnerable. Vulnerable women are always easy to jump up on. Unfortunately for Shang, Alyssa didn’t seem to be as weak and timid as he expected.

“Are you hitting on me, Shang?” She said, her voice tinged with motherly reproach.

“Hey, if that’s what you’re seeing–”

She shook her head, “no. Just no. Don’t think I don’t know about you, Shang Yu. You can take your supposed ‘charm’ and go elsewhere. I’m not some stupid little college girl.”

Shang shrugged and gave her a sheepish look, “who said I thought you were? Maybe I like them older and smart.”

She rolled her eyes, “thanks, but no thanks.”

Shang wasn’t giving up on Alyssa, he was incredibly persistent. However, Katarina was all kinds of hot, too, so he couldn’t resist making some moves on her. Sure, she was young–hell, she was illegal–but it wasn’t like it would lead to anything. Teenage girls were all big teases. When she went to University, though, all bets would be off.

Surprisingly, Katarina didn’t brush him off. She flirted right back, putting forth her own innuendo. The resident campus casanova was pleasantly stunned.

Meanwhile, Kate pondered over the item that Lilith had given her. She was hesitant to use it, but after hearing about Alyssa and Katarina’s visit and the way Shang spoke about them… she knew she didn’t have a choice. He was just confused and needed guidance. Kate was sure this would work. She rubbed the lamp and stifled her scream as the room was engulfed in purple smoke.

“You have need of me, master?”

Kate blinked, still startled, “um… y-yes…”

“I can see what your heart desires…” He grinned, his eyes narrowing. “What do you wish for, master?”

Without asking what the catch was, Kate blurted out, “I want Shang just for me, no one else!”

“As you wish it, master.”

It worked like a charm. Suddenly, all of Shang’s attentions fell on Kate and any outside interests seemed to fade away. It was almost like a dream. Kate never really thought about the repercussions of her actions, nor did she consider that there would be any consequences. She soaked up the attention, unknowing of the battle going on in Shang’s own mind. He felt like he was being controlled and was very much aware of how… out-of-character his actions were.

It eventually faded and Shang was back to his old tricks. Kate was depressed. Wasn’t it supposed to last forever? She contemplated getting the lamp out again.

B.S.U. Campus – Round 11: ‘Message in a Bottle, Pt. 1′

Shang Yu enjoys the ladies, though he’s finding that a little difficult to do with Kate Anderson constantly ‘cramping’ his style. Sara O`Hanlon is back with Nathaniel Anderson and happy. Gordon Saunders is too busy plotting his future to concern himself with the drama in the house.

Kate likes Shang

Time hadn’t caused any of Kate’s feelings for Shang to lessen. As soon as she saw him, she was instantly in love again. Shang, of course, was completely oblivious… more happy to look at himself in the mirror than notice a former flame’s adoring glances. He was used to it. The ladies loved him, and why shouldn’t they? He was all kinds of awesome, this much was true. His awesomeness was sure to aid in his quest to become a supremely famous rock star.

Shang and Kate

Of course, Shang would bid his time while he waited for the fame and fortune. There were plenty of ladies at University ready and will to adore him, as well they should. Kate was always at the front of the line, as usual. While Shang tried to make it clear he wasn’t a ‘one girl kinda guy’, she didn’t seem to buy it. Whatever. He let her know and if she wanted to ride down the river of denial, that was her choice. No one can fault him for reaping the benefits!

Sara and Nathaniel

Sara and Nathaniel, thankfully, were a lot more stable than Shang and his crazy relationships. They didn’t have any big plans–neither of them were necessarily family-oriented. Sara would graduate soon and likely join Nathaniel. Scandalous, to be sure, unwed and not even engaged!

Neither of them really cared. It wasn’t like they wouldn’t do it eventually… maybe. Sara was just happy to be accepted, finally.

Shang and Tracy

Shang wasn’t just messing around with University girls–he also called up some old acquaintances from the distant island. He even had Tracy come and stay as a ‘friend’. Right, a friend. If anything, she was a friend with benefits. Tracy had her own reasons for going along with Shang’s little charade. She knew he was seeing other people, it didn’t concern her. She didn’t necessarily like him all that much.

She just wanted off that miserable, sweltering island. She wanted to wear real clothes instead of ones made with grass! If she had to grin and bare Shang’s ridiculous ego to do it, then so be it.

Kate attacks Tracy

Unfortunately for Tracy, she didn’t know that Kate had her eyes on Shang long before she had. Kate wasn’t giving up her hold, either. She would go down fighting. She let Tracy know this one afternoon after she had come home from her yoga class. Tracy was shocked, to say the least. She knew absolutely nothing about Kate–she thought all of Shang’s women were… well, not exclusive.

This could be a problem.

Tracy meets Gordon

Tracy snuck upstairs to get in the hot tub while everyone else was asleep. She only had a few more days before she had to return to the island and her anxiety was growing. Shang had another two years before he graduated, while Sara and the other mysterious person living there graduated within the next few days. Tracy was shocked to find the hot tub was already occupied.

Shang had mentioned Gordon, Tracy remembered. He was really Tsung’s, Shang’s older brother, best friend, but Shang and Gordon were good buddies as well. Gordon was a little… strange, Tracy would admit that much. But he was certainly more agreeable than Shang… and better looking, too. Definitely. Why hadn’t she seen him before? Did he only come out at night?

Kate attacks Tracy again

After Kate attacked her again, Tracy decided that Shang was out of the question. It was apparent Kate wasn’t going anywhere. So Tracy would need a new plan. She couldn’t help but think back to Gordon–they had gotten along quite well, in fact, they had a lot in common… if she could just convince him to support her visa, she might just have a way out off that darn island.

Note from Mao: You’re probably wondering about Tracy. She appeared in the Yu update ‘Risky Business’. Her story has been slowing evolving in my mind as I watched her interact with everyone. She doesn’t have any chemistry with Shang and when she met Gordon? Two bolts, no tampering. She also spent a lot of time seeking him out, despite his reclusive nature. So, this should be interesting. And yes, Kate kept slapping Tracy around, though Tracy won more than she lost. Another side note… thinking about changing the layout, so don’t panic if things are… weird.

Oh, and apparently this is where the lamp comes from? I keep getting them now, it’s annoying.

B.S.U. Campus – Round 10: ‘Something Different, Pt. 3′

Damien has Aiyana to keep his mind off Chuck’s death, but Lilith’s still struggling. This isn’t helped by Tsung’s bizarre behavior, Nathaniel’s flock of female followers, and her best friend’s sudden change of personality. Gordon’s arrived, but he’s keeping quiet and well away from the drama.

Sara greets Nathaniel

Sara had decided that she was going to shock everyone when she arrived at Boreal Summit University. She let her hair down, bought a dress, and squeezed her feet into a pair of casual heels. The result was an unimpressed Lilith, a shocked Damien, and a receptive Nathaniel. Gordon, who she had traveled the long distance with, just sat down with the paper.

“I heard you’re doing really well on the team, Nathaniel.”

Nathaniel shrugged, “I guess. We’ll see how it goes when I’m a senior. What happened to you?”

“What are you talking about?” She smiled, taking her leave. “I’m not any different than before.”

Gordon rigs the computer

When he was sure no one was watching, Gordon crept into the room with the computer. Pulling out a tool kit his mother had gifted him, he began modifying the computer. He was too busy to bother with term papers and all that. It would be much easier just to hack his grades. He also had to drive the length between Boreal Springs and Boreal Summit University to see Thomas for his ‘mental training’. There was no time for studying.

Four in a hot tub

While Gordon was scheming, Lilith, Tsung, Nathaniel, and Sara hung out in the hot tub. It was a cool autumn night, perfect for lounging in the hot water and talking about nothing in particular. Lilith was slowly coming out of her shell, though it wasn’t for a good reason. She kept staring at Sara, her eyes squinted in distaste. She couldn’t believe Sara had actually done it. Even worse, she couldn’t believe it was actually working.

Tsung noticed her preoccupation with her best friend and realized that while it may bring Lilith out, it wouldn’t be a good thing.

Gordon and Tsung chat

Despite their glaring differences and the distance that had been between them, Tsung Yu and Gordon Saunders were still best friends. Tsung was studying early into the morning when Gordon woke up for breakfast.

“It’s always been obvious, you know,” Gordon said suddenly, grinning. “So what’s holding you back?”

Tsung didn’t bother looking up from his book, “I’ve been meaning to ask, Gordon… where did you get all that hair?”

“I’ll tell you when you finally confront Lilith,” Gordon replied, taking a bite of his cereal.

Tsung talks to Lilith

Tsung tried to take Gordon’s advice, he really did, but it was difficult. He approached her later that afternoon to no effect.

“What do you want, Tsung?” Lilith snapped, glaring at him. “Can’t you see I’m busy trying to save Sara from the pod people that stole her brain?”

Tsung sighed, muttering under his breath as she breezed past, “yes, but who will save you from that stick you’ve got rammed so far up your–”

“What?!” She snapped, turning to face him again.

“Nothing,” he replied, walking off. “Go save Sara from herself.”

B.S.U. Campus – Round 9: ‘Lilith’s Choice, Pt. 1′

Damien Saunders is still trying to deal with the death of his twin Chuck. Can his newest love interest, Aiyana Lam, help close the wound? Nathaniel Anderson is the star of B.S.U. University’s soccer team–will all the fame and women go to his head? Lilith Anderson still isn’t talking to anyone but Tsung Yu and the questions she asks him are getting progressively more odd.

Damien meets Aiyana

Lilith: It’s odd for me to be doing this, isn’t it? But here I am. When we first got to University, we realized that the addition of Tsung wasn’t enough to cover rent. Damien put an ad in the paper and Aiyana Lam showed up. She’s a hippie chick–you know the type, totally bohemian and whatever.

I think Damien accepted her into the house just because he thought she was hot. At least we didn’t have to worry about the rent anymore… not that I voiced any concern in the first place.

Lilith watches Tsung play

I thought it would be weird living with a bunch of guys, but it isn’t so bad. Everyone kinda leaves me alone and that’s cool. I can do what I want and not worry about people patting me on the shoulder. I guess Damien has it worse, but he didn’t see it happen, you know? That makes it a different story.

I caught Tsung practicing with his violin thing on the balcony. When Nathaniel told me he was ‘really good’, I brushed it off. Who cares about that stuff? Let’s see him be good at something substantial! But I guess it isn’t so bad. It’s kind of soothing. He didn’t really notice I was sitting there until he finished. I think it embarrassed him, which was completely hilarious.

Damien and Aiyana get closer

Of course, I totally called the whole ‘Damien and Aiyana hook-up’ thing… not aloud, but still. It was me who saw it first. They’re ‘kinda’ dating now. Whatever. They think it’s weird because they’re always around one another and they don’t want to put too much pressure of the ‘blossoming relationship’ or some hippie crap like that. Listening to that girl talk is like cramming flowers down your throat and vomiting up perfume. Blegh.

Lilith talks to Tsung

Tsung is completely obsessed with the hot tub. If you ever want to find him, that’s where you go. Tsung and I were rivals for like, our entire lives, but I guess in the end… he won. I’ll admit it (not aloud, though) that he knows more than me. That’s why I talk to him–he can answer my questions about death and ghosts and stuff. Damien slipped up one time and told me he saw his dead mother before he left for B.S.U…. I wonder if Chuck is lurking around there, too?

Of course, Tsung was hesitant to answer me. I guess he doesn’t think much of the whole paranormal thing. He’s too logical–too constrained by math and science. Whatever. I’ll figure it out myself, then. We’ll see who is right!

Nathaniel shoots hoops

I guess I am a little worried about Nathaniel. In High School, he was a total sports jock and it’s the same thing here, too. But there’s a difference… High School girls… well, they’re not the same carnivorous creatures as University ones! Besides, I scared all the HS girls away by scowling at them. I can’t do that here, they’re like a swarm of hormones. It’s really annoying. I’d feel bad for Nathaniel, but I doubt he minds at all. Men are such pigs.

I just hope he is using the right head or we’re in trouble. Sara will be joining us in a year and even if it’s futile, she has it beyond bad for him. Which is totally gross, but what can you do?

Lilith watches Damien and Aiyana

Damien and the flower child reject are getting really heavy lately. What happened to strangling the burgeoning blossom and all that crap? Seriously, I don’t want to see this stuff. Go somewhere private, why don’t you? Though, I have noticed Aiyana doesn’t stay in her own room anymore. Sheesh. It’s like University charges your hormones and puts them in hyper-drive. At least I’ve still got my head on my shoulders.

Nathaniel has a fan club

Speaking of which, I really wish girls would stop following Nathaniel home. It’s really, really annoying. The house suddenly becomes a party zone and it’s impossible to hear yourself think. What? I know I used to be a bit of a slacker, but I’ve changed and I am really worried about Nathaniel. All these women are vultures.

I hope Sara gets here with some boobs and makeup. I’d rather see my brother with her than any of these vapid chuckle heads! One more cheer from that pom-pom waver and I’m gonna go crazy…

Note from Mao: Sorry this took so long! I haven’t had a chance to really play and Uni was dragging with so many people. Too much to do, so little time. As for Lilith, she did the Uni Reroll and is now Family… haha. Talk about a complete flip-flop. And yes, women are following Nathaniel around and it is creeping me out. He hasn’t had any bolts with them yet, but who knows.
