Yu – Round 18: ‘Hard to Handle, Pt. 3′

Tsung and Lilith, despite their differences, have had a happy marriage. With Tsung gone off to college, Fou-Lu is left to his own devices. His brother may have been a bit of a bully, but at least he was never arrested…

Fou-Lu felt horrible sitting in the back of the police cruiser as it pulled up in front of his house. He was just thankful Gordon had been around (though he wasn’t sure where he’d come from, and so late at night, too) to save his teenaged behind. Fou-Lu wasn’t sure what he said to the officer, but it was enough for him to not press charges and give Fou-Lu a ride home. He wasn’t able to thank Gordon, as he was gone as quickly as he’d come.

He just hoped he wouldn’t tell his father. He would kill him!

Not wanting to get into trouble again, Fou-Lu opted to hang out with his cousin Hugh as opposed to Basil. It was Basil’s fault he had gotten caught, just because Basil could run faster. That jerk. He couldn’t remember whose idea it was to sneak out past curfew and tag a building, but he was sure he wouldn’t be caught dead doing it again. Thankfully, Gordon hadn’t told his father (who would tell his mom!) and Fou-Lu’s head was still firmly attached to his body.

Tsung came back from college to attend his parents anniversary party. It was quite the little gala, with Lilith’s twin brother, Nathaniel, his fiance Sara O`Hanlon, good friends Damien and Aiyana Saunders, and Gordon all present. Shang was unable to attend because he was off on tour, and Kate was hesitant to come, unsure if Shang would be there or not.

Gordon didn’t tell Tsung what he had caught his son doing, because that would involve explaining to Tsung how he got Fou-Lu out of it. Gordon wasn’t yet ready to tell his friend what he did for a living.

He did, however, have to explain his current condition and the fact that Lilith had been coming to check on him. At this, Tsung was relieved. He wasn’t sure what to think when Lilith had begun to sneak out late at night–he thought the worst.

“Don’t be stupid,” Gordon said, laughing, “no one else could handle Lilith. You know that.”

“That’s true,” Tsung admitted with a shrug. “It’s weird seeing you young, and unfair. What made you make this choice, Gordon? You’ll outlive us all.”

“Always with the bad,” Gordon said, uncharacteristically jubliant. “Why don’t you focus on your good for once, Tsung? With all the divorces going on, you two should be basking in this moment.”

Tsung laughed, “lady troubles, Gordon?”

“What do you think?” Gordon replied, shaking his head.

“You really have made quite a name for yourself,” Tsung said to Lilith later as they danced, amusement written on his face. “You’re the resident paranormal guru.”

“Oh, please,” she snorted derisively, rolling her eyes in that dramatic way only she could manage. “Just wait until I have my own cult. Then you’ll all see how awesome I am.”

He was a little worried until she laughed and reassured him she was kidding.

Fou-Lu was nowhere to be found during the Anniversary party. He had snuck out to meet Elena. They were being your typical irresponsible teen, meeting in dimly lit places to makeout and otherwise rebel in their own ways. Unfortunately for them both, they failed to realize that Gordon didn’t need to necessarily see things to know them and the fact that his adopted daughter was getting more and more adventurous was sure to get back to him.

Note from Mao: Lilith’s LTW is fulfilled, yay. I had fun with the Anniversary party, I should do more of those. Fou-Lu actually did get busted sneaking out with Basil, but he glitched and Tsung and Lilith never got memories/etc despite being awake. He just popped out of the car and it disappeared. So I had to find a way to explain it, haha. Fou-Lu is an odd one, I don’t know what to make of him yet, he’s just your typical teen…

  1. Man. Both of the Yu boys are…not like their dad at all xD it’s sad. Where will I get my sweet, smart Yu hotness when Tsung is gone? D: Guess I gotta settle for either foul-mouth hotness or wild hotness. xD dear me.

Haha, but Tsung just has a tough exterior… beneath it lies a heart of gold. ;)

  2. Yay! Lilith and Tsung made it to the golden years! And weird glitch about that, maybe even the programming was scared for Fou-Lu because he would have to endure Lilith’s wrath!

LOL, you are probably right about that!

  3. Wow, I can’t believe Lilith and Damien and all of them are elders! What is this world coming to? And I didn’t even think of the fact that Gordon will outlive them all by being a vampire! What a sneaky devil!

I know, I can’t believe how far I’ve come without losing interest. Amazing!

  4. I liked seeing Gordon being nice- and the party. You should throw parties more often, it was nice seeing your characters all together for once. I’m glad there won’t be any more divorces- right Mao?

Gordon isn’t all evil, he is quite nice, but he has to be a criminal mastermind and they are known for pleasantries! I think I might, I really enjoyed seeing them all, too… maybe it’s time to indulge those “have a party” wants. It’s not like my PC can’t handle it since I upgraded.

  6. Yay a Yu Anniversary party! Lilith and Tsung are so cute together, and I think they are the only marriage this generation that made it this far in marriage.

They really are, hehe. Nathaniel and Sara have come pretty far, too, and they’re not even married… yet.

  7. Are you planning on getting Nathaniel & Sara married before they turn into elders, or are you just going to leave them be?

Funny you should ask… but you’ll have to wait until their update to find out. :) I was waiting for them both to have the want.

  8. This is my favorite house, or at least one of them, but then I always did like Lilith. She and Tsung make a great couple. And refreshingly drama-free, like the Yus usually are. Nice to see Gordon kinda like the way he was, before getting all withdrawn and criminal-like. I don’t know what to make of Fou-Lu either. It’s strange. It’s like he’s too normal to be a Boreal Springs resident. Okay, now I really am caught up.

Hooray, welcome to being caught up! ;) Haha, too normal to be in Boreal Springs… isn’t that that the truth?

  9. hihi-Gordon helping out a friend, it shows his softer side (like when he devotes time to his children)

Hehe, he can be a softie sometimes.

  10. Aww, I’m so happy for Lilith and Tsung and their anniversary, the two of them are my absolute favourite couple in Boreal Springs. Gordon is so right when he says that Tsung is the only one who’s any good with Lilith, I don’t know how he ever could have thought that she would cheat on him.
It was also nice to see Gordon out of his calculated criminal mastermind mode and just being happy for his friend. I’m guessing that the reason he hasn’t told him the truth about himself yet is shame, and not a lack of trust. I wonder if Tsung will ever find out at this rate…

Glad you enjoyed it. As for Gordon not telling Tsung, that’s pretty much it. He doesn’t want Tsung to know what he does. As for Tsung finding out, if Lilith knows, it is only a matter of time…

  11. Yay for their anniversary!

And I think it’s fun when glitchy things happen in the game (as long as it’s not too often…) and then you have to find ways to explain it in the story. Makes things interesting :)

The glitch surprised me, but I liked the explanation better than him getting caught!

  12. I love Damien and Aiyana dancing in the background, I’m glad he kept the hat :)

I can’t believe everyone’s an elder, it makes me wonder if Gordon will ever regret his choice.

They can really move for old folks, LOL! I know, it’s insane… but Gordon did what he felt was best. Hopefully Michael and Claude take advantage of it and lead normal lives.
