O’Hanlon – Round 20: ‘Turn Me Loose, Pt. 1′

Julie and Asia O`Hanlon aren’t your convential type of couple, but they still managed to have two kids.  Timothy is on the cusp of his teen years while Maggie is enjoying her rambunctious youth.

Due to a surplus of money, Julie decided to purchase a cabin out in the woods.  It was a quaint little structure with plenty of room to roam for the kids.  It was also conveniently located next to some of the sights of the Great Lakes area.

Asia would have preferred one on a lake, but unfortunately, those types of properties weren’t offered here.

After ensuring everything was set up properly in the cabin, the family headed off to have some fun.  There was plenty of log rolling, giving everyone an ample change to win.  Even so, Julie and Timothy always seemed to win.

Of course, there was also plenty of slap dancing.  The kids weren’t quite as enthused as they should have been.  They just sort of stared and wondered, “what are these crazy grownups doing?”

In the evenings, the kids usually tired out and gave the grownups a chance to enjoy themselves.  The pool table was definitely a good investment.  Julie and Asia had a lot of fun challenging one another and betting favors on who won.  After their game, they’d pick up the kids, tuck them into bed, and then go to bed themselves.

It was certainly nice to have an actual home to come home to instead of a hotel room.

They didn’t always go out, however.  They stayed in and had fun, too.  Boardgames a plenty with a side of charades.  The kids’ favorite was ‘Don’t Wake the Llama’… probably because they always won.

On their last night, they abandoned the comfort of their beds and decided to sleep in the great outdoors.  They made a fire, roasted marshmallows, and Maggie told a scary ghost story about pet ghosts that Isolde Anderson had told her.  Julie and Asia weren’t quite sure what to make of Maggie’s new little friend…

When they arrived home, it was time for Timothy’s birthday.  He aged into a teen, which didn’t change his perspective on his homework any.  He still hated doing it.  He had decided that his family was so nice that he’d like to have one of his own someday.

He may have still hated homework, but he found he no longer had such an intense dislike for Shelly Yu.  He apologized and they became friends.  It’s as it always goes with boys… dislike turns to like, though Timothy isn’t sure if he should be deciding so early in his youth about his future wife.  Shelly is nice, but there’s not a big enough spark to keep his adolescent attention.

He also makes friends with James Anderson, who looks like his twin.  They bond over their shared choice in haircuts and similar personalities.

Note from Mao: I had no idea James and Timothy had the same hair, LOL!  They look like twins. xb  Shelly and Timothy only have 1 bolt.  I’m interested to see what Isolde and Timothy will have, since they are friends and she’s his age, too.  I’m also working on updating the DB… shouldn’t take long, but I fell behind.  Still not feeling 100%, have another appointment this Friday.  We’ll see how it goes.

  1. OMGosh thank you for posting this! Well, thanks for posting in general, and continue to hang in there with those issues, but THANK YOU FOR CAMPING Stuffs! I haven’t visited those BV lots yet, so this WAS a treat! The second picture almost made me snort my coffee… in the background with the kids, and the one is biffing it! *LOL* That is an AWESOME shot!

Shelly is cute. Tim would be a fool not to at least get a date out of her. <3

Haha, you’re welcome. A lot of vacations have been happening. There were two other updates involving the mountain place, but I can’t remember specifically which ones! And that logging picture was one of my favorites, LOL!

  2. The camping was adorable. I love Julie and Asia, I wish they figured more into the hood storyline. LOL at James and Tim having thesame hair!

I do, but I’m glad they don’t. I don’t want them filled with dramas, LOL!

  3. That vacation seemed great fun. Getting a cabin was certainly a good idea. Where’d they get the money from? ._.

Oh gosh, the O’Hanlon family is the richest in BS. They have like 300k. It’s ridiculous. They’re not supposed to be rich! But if you remember, they had three Fortune sims at one time living there for quite awhile…

  4. The slap dance looks like so much fun. Those poor kids, passed out while their parents play pool xD Isolde is an interesting influence, huh? Pet ghosts…Tim looks pretty hot. Yay, twinzies! And YOU! …You feel better, mkay?

Thanks, today has been kinda rough, but I’m still alive! LOL, Isolde is such a troubling influence.

  7. I haven’t sent my Sims on a vacation since the summer camping trip. I really need to send them out again to have some fun! :)

Shelly is really pretty. Timothy is silly if he doesn’t like her! ;) He and James really do look like twins!

Vacations for me are a lot more doable with the new PC! Haha, yeah, their hair cuts will have to change when they transition.

  8. What’s not to love about the great outdoors? Besides the bugs. I hate bugs. I do love the O’Hanlons. Looks like the kids are slowly turning toward normal, though with Isolde around, there’s only so much normal that will happen. When I saw Shelly, I about squeed my tea right into my lap, lol. Too bad there’s not enough attraction. LOL-ing on the hair. I’m glad you felt up to doing this. Don’t push yourself, m’kay?

Almost forgot to say WOW. Round 20. You move fast.

Aww, thanks. I miss playing, though. My poor sims! Shelly and Timothy might have a chance later, but right now, Isolde and Timothy seem to get along very well… and well, if you think about it, I’ve been playing for half a year and given my rounds are only 4 days and I play… well a lot, yeah.

  9. Haha the shared haircuts made me laugh! Glad to see you’re feelin’ better!

Getting there, albeit is slowly. Blegh!

  10. Vacation Yay! I don’t send my sims of vacation nearly enough, this one looked like a lot of fun!

Asia and Julie are such attentive parents, I can’t see Kat playing Don’t Wake the Llama for hours, maybe Shang if it were strip Llama :)

I tend to use vacations for families who don’t have much to write about. Ohnoes, my secret is revealed! ;) LOL at strip Llama!!
