Boreal Springs

Unfortunately, Boreal Springs is going on hiatus.  Again.  I know, I know, I apologize… but there’s no other way.  BS is not my serious project.  Whenever the strain gets too much or RL gets too demanding, it’s the first thing to get the axe.  Nevermind the fact that I haven’t actually, really played the game in like, two weeks.  I haven’t lost interest, I’ve just lost time.  Anytime I have goes into working on Wings of Steel and I’ve barely enough time for that now.

I have some updates I didn’t post.  Hopefully I can get around to writing them and posting them.  This hiatus is of an uncertain length–I can’t tell you when it’ll end.  I may post a bit, but you can guarantee that during NaNoWriMo in November, I likely won’t post at all.

Sorry again, but I have to do what I have to do to keep my other obligations going.  Hope you all understand.

  1. How fun that you’re doing NaNoWriMo! I wish you lots and lots of luck!

Are you going to blog about your progress as you write? I’m not doing NaNoWriMo, but I have been working on my first novel for about seven months now. I often blog about progress and troubles and other writing nonsense, so I linked to my regular blog if you want to take a peek.

No worries though! Any time I slow down on Lakeside Heights, you can be sure it’s because I’m having a productive novel-writing period. We’re all hobbyists at this Simming stuff, right? It’s all good :)

Thanks, Laura! I will check out your blog. I have a livejournal I use for commenting that also doubles as my NaNoWriMo chronicling. You can find it via my portal at :)

  2. For the last time, stop apologizing! As I said last time, real fans will understand and wait. I have no time anymore either, although I’m not sure where my time went. You’d think with 4 hours between getting home and going to bed, I’d get something done. Anyway, we’re right here waiting. Now you just keep plodding on with WoS and when you get some time, the loyal ones of us will be sitting here waiting to welcome you back.

Thanks, Fini. I might actually be able to update today. We’ll have to wait and see. Fiance and I finally have a day off, but he is playing Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, so I have free time.

  3. Now, I will look at this optimistically. I now have time to catch up on your other blogs! Yippee! :D

    Haha, hooray!

  4. Wow. Good luck with NaNoWriMo. I tried it once but…not for me. xD I can’t write under pressure. I think I got to 10k and was like, “SCREW THIS!” and gave up because I let the time limit get to me…that and I just hated the story I was writing. It was so…blah. Kinda hard to write about something you hate.

But I agree with Fini. Stop apologizing, woman! You have nothing to apologize for. We real fans are patient folk. We understand. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Whenever I see an update, it always makes me happy, I forget about how long it has been. <3 Though, if you make an update on the 4th of November, I’d be extra happy. :D That’s my birthday.

But seriously, don’t worry about it. <3 My undying affection for the Yu can wait.

Haha, thanks, Elecy! Yeah, NaNo is crazy, but it gives me motivation to finish things. Contrary to my sims 2 serials, I am HORRIBLE at finishing stories. xb

  5. I can’t comment on your livejournal, so I just wanted to drop you a note and say, Holy Cow! 6000 words in one day??? In a few hours???

I’ve done just under that in four days, lol!

Great job though, keep it up! With that pace, I have no doubts you’ll finish on time :)

Hey Laura, thanks! You should be able to leave anonymous comments… gah. Will have to fix that.
