Saunders 3 – Round 24: ‘Big Things in Small Packages’

Michael and Sade are an unlikely couple, but probably one of the most stable as of late.  Sade is finding motherhood isn’t as bad as she thought, but will she be able to handle the next surprise?

Sade wasn’t quite sure what to think when she found out she was pregnant again.  All these babies were not doing anything good for her figure, that was for sure.  She really didn’t need to worry about the masses thinking she was gorgeous–because she was–but she also hadn’t really planned on becoming a brood mare, either.  Michael assured her that the term ‘brood mare’ and ‘clown car’ were reserved for those with tons of children.  Two was hardly a ton.  Sade begged to differ.

At least being pregnant again took her mind off the recent loss of her mother, Sara.

Being pregnant and caring for a toddler was tiring.  Sade refused to be battered down.  She wouldn’t run out and chop off her hair or switch away from her non-gorgeous clothing.  She simply got up earlier and made time for what she thought was important.  She had hoped to instill her daughter with her need for constant beauty, but more and more, the little girl seemed to favor her shy and book-minded father.

Despite being pregnant and having a toddler, Sade still made time to lecture Kit, too.  From her lofty position of wife and mother, she saw it fit to perhaps give Kit a little ‘guidance’.  It was truly a bizarre thing to behold.

“I know I have tons of best friends, Kit,” Sade began, smiling, “but you’re my favorite.  You really need to calm down.”

Kit gave her a look, “you’re not serious, are you?  How far have I fallen to get lectured by you?”

“Hey!  I’m a mom and a wife.  You’re just a whore.  Who is also pregnant,” Sade sighed, “I mean, you know what I mean.”

Kit did.  Other people would have flown off the handle, but Sade and Kit had been friends too long.  Sade didn’t mince words and perhaps what she said had some truth to it… as bizarre as that concept was.

Grace soon became a child and mirrored her father all the more.  She had her mother’s pale complexion, but she acted exactly like Michael.  They were both very soft-spoken and reticent.  Grace tried to mimic his mannerisms whenever she could, which disturbed Sade greatly.  She loved Michael, but having two of him under one roof was just a bit more than she bargained for.  Perhaps the new baby would be interested in fashion or something vaguely interesting.  All this book learning was boring.

As Sade’s pregnancy progressed, both Michael and Grace were a little surprised at how…big she was getting.  Michael wasn’t about to directly say anything, for fear of losing his head or other important parts, but Grace had no predilection.  She hadn’t quite learned her mother’s temperament when pregnant yet.

“Mom, are you sure you’re all right?  You look like a whale.”

Michael was speechless.  He wanted to save Grace, but could think of nothing.

Sade was silent.  Finally, she spoke, “if my body doesn’t bounce back from this,  I am going to show your father a new use for my ballet bar.”

Other than Sade’s growing belly, life continued as normal.  Michael was quite busy with his new job as the Minister of Education while Grace was pulling perfect grades in school.  She continued to mirror her father and studied things that should have escaped her still-young mind.  Sade spent her time on the phone, always the socialite, even when stuck in the house because she was far too pregnant to be out and about.

Finally, Sade gave birth to twins and the reason for her larger-than-life stomach came to light.  Alexander resembled Michael’s side of the family, as did Charity, having Tracey’s skintone.  Charity managed to nab her mother’s hair color, though, and her eyes while Alexander mirrored his father almost precisely.

Note from Mao: Poor Sade.  She was not expecting twins and neither was I!  I am HOPING this is it for them.  And their kids are all different shades, LOL!  Which I find hilarious.  At least one of them got Sade’s red hair, yay!  And now, for some funny shots that didn’t quite fit the bill for the actual update:

What a place for your belly to pop!  Sade had just finished puking in that toilet, btw.

Only Sade could be mad at her own daughter for soiling her diaper!

Adora Anderson calls to ask if Sade can talk right while Sade’s in the middle of giving birth to Charity!  Grace’s thought bubble cracks me up.

  1. Grace is adorable. I was thinking the same thing as Kit; how far had she fallen to get lectured by Sade? LOL I like Grace already, though she might want to learn a little tact. Babies! They are going to be so cute; I can see it already. And I’m glad one’s a redhead.

She really is. :D Hahahaha, Sade doesn’t mince words and Kit has fallen pretty far!

  2. “Hey! I’m a mom and a wife. You’re just a whore. Who is also pregnant,” Sade sighed

OMG! I laughed out loud at that line, and I’m at work! I love Sade!

Sade cracks me up so much with the things I “hear” her saying in my head. I just have to share, LOL!

  3. Yay! A brood!

Here’s hoping Alexander looks like his dad, we need more Gordon clones!

Haha, I am all for more Gordon clones!

  4. It’s so hard to tell if they have twins with these meshes. :(

I love Sade, she’s too much. LOL.

And EEE at Charity! She has red hair! :D :D :D

Those meshes make sims look like beached whales, LOL! I figured you’d enjoy Sade. ;)

  5. “if my body doesn’t bounce back from this, I am going to show your father a new use for my ballet bar.” – now that made me LOL!

Darn, you just update sooo fast – I’ve given up on actually reading ALL the posts – I’ve had to skip a couple. I’ve also learned to just speed read and avoid commenting on each post ;-)

And maybe it’s because I’ve got Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” stuck in my head, but I just think that this would be the perfect song for this couple :-)

Don’t worry about it! I update daily when I can, so that is A LOT of posts. I know, really. I don’t expect anyone to diligently read through ‘em. The worst is you won’t know who some people are, but that’s pretty easy to figure out. :D Haha, I can’t say I’ve heard the long. I will have to look up the lyrics!

  6. ….It is still weird to see Sade as a doting mother. Michael, yes. He is a family man, I can see that. But her? Nawww. Ah, well. Motherhood changes people. Michael + Grace = SUPERADORABLE. Srsly. They’re the cutest ever. And oh dear. Look at Sade’s belly! She looks like a dolphin! Quick, someone call Nathaniel and let’s get him to communicate with it. :D And yes, only Sade could be mad at her daughter for soiling herself.

Haha, I wouldn’t call Sade a “doting” mother, but she does her best! ;) LOL at Nathaniel communicating with her belly…

  7. “Hey! I’m a mom and a wife. You’re just a whore. Who is also pregnant,”

Oh Lord…it must take quite a thick skin to be friends with Sade, I think!

I love that Sade is angry with her own daughter for soiling herself! You have to wonder what she was expecting!

Hahaha, Sade isn’t that bad. She’s honest! Kit needs to get her crap together. ;)

  8. LOL, Sade cracks me up. Although I agree with Carla, it takes a thick skin to be friends with her. Even if Sade is telling the truth. ;)

    She’s quite the oddball, LOL

  9. ROFL I can’t believe she called Kit a whore. Talk about being a true friend, at least you never have to worry about what’s on Sade’s mind, or what she really thinks about you.

Twins, yay. No, I hate twins, I have tons of twins in my game, lol. But they are cute, and all different skin tones. Wish that would happen to my sims.

Sade is very opinionated and not afraid to speak her mind, LOL. Way too many twins in BS…
