Anderson – Round 7: ‘Unfortunate Ends, Pt. 4′

Thomas Anderson has it all figured out and as long as his daughter, Alyssa, continues to be the ‘dutiful daughter’, everything should go smoothly. Jun Yu is just along for the ride.

Alyssa does her homework

Unfortunately for Alyssa, Thomas found out that she wasn’t doing her homework. From that point on, he would keep a very close eye on her and make sure she finished it herself. While he really didn’t care about the ‘poor’ boy who had been toiling extra hard to do her work as well as his own, he did care that his daughter have a mind in that pretty head of hers. He wouldn’t have her being vapid and shallow.

Haughty and intelligent, sure, but not brain dead! It wasn’t like she was Jun’s kid.

Alyssa sneaks out

Thomas never found out about his dutiful little daughter sneaking out on school nights to go to parties, however. She was the ‘it’ girl and it wasn’t a party unless she was there turning boys down! She didn’t really drink or do anything bad, she just made an appearance. She always had Ryu with her, so she was fine and safe. The boys would usually give up and hit on one of her posse. Their standards weren’t nearly as high and their fathers let them date.

Thomas talks to Jun

While his daughter was in ‘order’, Thomas tried to make sure Jun was also within her own boundaries. She was a major flake, to be sure, and Thomas wasn’t dumb enough to think she’d suddenly stop after dumping Henry. He was especially interested in the fact that she’d been seen with Shaniqua Saunders a lot lately. To this, Jun simply said:

“We’re birds of a feather, Tommy. She doesn’t care about what happened between Henry and I. She needs someone to talk to and I’m there. That’s it. You know I don’t go for girls.”

Thomas cringed at her shortening of his name, but decided to stick to the matter at hand, “she’s a Saunders in the end and she does ‘go for girls’, as you say.”

Jun rolled her eyes, “I think you need to worry more about your little darling daughter and less about me. Maybe you ought to ask her about Ryu, huh?”

Thomas fulfills his LTW

While Thomas had come home that night planning on grilling Alyssa about Ryu, he found he wasn’t in the mood. He felt fulfilled and on top of the world. Nothing could bring him down. It was about to get a lot better, too. His new position gave him very important intelligence on the recent crime activity. A rat in Janine’s syndicate had let him in on a little plot of hers.

He’d be ready and waiting, with a smile on his face. Nothing could bring him down now.

Janine enters

Thomas waited patiently in the dark, listening as the door opened without trouble. He’d left it unlocked, figuring she’d just try to pick it instead of doing something clumsy like climbing through a window. While he had been anticipating something criminal, he hadn’t expected what he saw when he flipped on the lights.

Despite the situation turning against her, Janine walked calmly to Thomas, her heels sounding against the hardwood floors. Everyone else was asleep–it was nearly 2am.

Thomas talks to Janine

“Surprised?” Thomas said simply, looking up at her. “Did you expect me to be asleep? What were you going to use… a knife, a gun, your hands?”

Janine’s eyes narrowed, “how did you–”

“You’re good, Janine,” he replied, smirking. “But I’m better. That was always the case, wasn’t it? I will commend you on the outfit, though. If I hadn’t been married to you for nearly twenty years, I wouldn’t have recognized you.”

“What do you want, Thomas?”

Thomas propositions Janine

He stood up, smiling like a cat that had caught a mouse in a dead-end corner. Janine didn’t back down, she held her ground, trying her best to stand firm. She was a well-known criminal–she’d done things that others would cringe at. She couldn’t let herself be intimidated by Thomas.

“You know me too well. I suppose there’s no point continuing the small-talk. We have a history, Janine, that’s undeniable. While you may hate me for what I’ve done and I find your marriage to that Saunders cretin repulsive, I can’t help but think we’d do much better for ourselves if we worked together.”

At this, Janine scoffed, “are you joking? What could you have that I possibly want?”

“Intelligence that your little criminal syndicate could never acquire without risking life and limb. Also, your daughter… who with my tutelage, will be mayor.”

Janine is swayed

“A-Alyssa… you’re using her…”

“Using her?” He laughed. “She’s my daughter, too, Janine. I simply want her… to do well for herself, and perhaps help me while she’s at it. It isn’t using, it is merely taking advantage of what’s given. Tell me, you can’t deny how… resourceful having the mayor in your pocket would be, Janine.”

“I… I couldn’t, Alyssa–”

Thomas shook his head, “will never know. She’s a good girl, bright and charming… but hardly quick. She lives in a fog and sees what she wants to. She’d never know, Janine. Think of how much you could do–what you could become.”

As much as she wanted to deny it, Janine couldn’t. He was right. He had thought this out and planned it very carefully. She hated him for it, but she couldn’t deny the truth. She sighed, her shoulders slumping in defeat. Thomas saw this and was quite pleased.

Janine is confused

Janine left feeling very, very confused. They would meet and discuss details later, at a more secure location. But that’s not what Janine was thinking about at all. Instead, her mind was abuzz with feelings she thought she had dismissed a long time ago. She and Thomas had a long history… and seeing him as he was now–well, it was dangerous, and wrong… just like being a criminal.

She couldn’t say no to being a criminal and she wasn’t quite sure she could say no to Thomas, either. Now that they would be ‘working’ together, things were about to get a lot more complicated.

Thomas busts Alyssa

Later in the week, Thomas finally caught Alyssa with Ryu. He was carrying her books when they walked through the front door to find Thomas waiting for them. He was usually at work, so Alyssa was quite surprised. He wasted no time letting Alyssa know that this was unacceptable.

“But daddy,” Alyssa protested, stomping her small foot. “We’re not dating! He’s my um, cousin, or something…”

“He is not, Alyssa.” Thomas said firmly. “He’s not related to you at all! What did I tell you about boys? You have to focus!” He turned his attention to Ryu. “You need to leave right now and stay away from my daughter.”

Alyssa squealed angrily, “I do focus! And Ryu helps keep the boys away! You can’t tell him to go away–”

Ryu, who had kept quiet the entire time, suddenly found himself between two very angry Andersons. Suddenly, he wanted to go home. Fast. Unfortunately, Alyssa seized his arm and drug him away while Thomas screamed after them.

Alyssa kisses Ryu

Her cheeks flushed with rage, Alyssa slammed the door shut and turned to Ryu. He didn’t have a chance to say a word before she kissed him. When she pulled away, her fists balled at her sides and she glared at the door.

“Lets see how he likes that! If he wants to assume we’re dating, then so be it!”

Ryu just stared at her, completely oblivious to anything she was saying. It wasn’t until Thomas bodily removed him from the house that he realized what had happened. It was too late, of course. Alyssa was going to University the next morning and he wouldn’t see her until it was turn to go.

Suddenly early enrollment sounded like a very good idea.

Alyssa is punished

Before she left for University, Alyssa was tasked with many, many arduous chores as punishment. She took it all in stride, smiling proudly. She had gotten the upper-hand this time! Unfortunately, she didn’t quite realize that Ryu wasn’t in on the ‘scheme’. She’d have to inform him at University that it was just to make her dad angry. She had just been so upset…

Wait, upset? Why would she be upset? It was just Ryu… even if he was always around and always did everything she asked and was always, always there. Even when her stupid friends were too busy.

No, Ryu was just her minion. That was his purpose. He was supposed to be always there. Alyssa couldn’t possibly care about someone so low on the totem pole… could she? No, he was just Ryu. He’d probably look like the same meek little boy that followed her around even after they were at University! Alyssa could never like someone like that.

Note from Mao: Okay, so Janine’s plot for revenge didn’t go according to plan AT ALL. I don’t know WHAT happened there, but it makes for more drama and a much better story! As for Alyssa and Ryu… that was want driven. That and Ryu autonomously flirted with her last round and caused them both to crush on each other. Ahh, the attraction system… (they have two bolts, btw).

Anderson 2 – Round 6: ‘Every You, Every Me, Pt. 1′

Florence Anderson and Shaniqua Saunders are two very different people who somehow found love. Can they maintain their relationship while raising the twins, Nathaniel and Lilith, the result of Florence’s abduction?

Shaniqua cleans the counter

Shaniqua Saunders let out a long sigh as she scrubbed the grime off the counter top. When Florence had originally pitched the idea of moving in together after University, Shaniqua had visions of a carefree life. Unfortunately, that went to the wind when Florence ended up alien pregnant. The twins were adorable and Shaniqua enjoyed them, but the life of a ‘house frau’ wasn’t meant for her.

She was meant for fun and excitement, not figuring out which detergent cuts through grass stains or how to remove scuff marks from hardwood floors. Perhaps if her job were a little more demanding, she wouldn’t be stuck acting the maid, but it was easy-street and Shaniqua had a lot of time on her hands.

Florence cuddles Lilith

Shaniqua’s argument was rather one-sided, as Florence did just as much as she did with a full-time job. Florence had to take care of Alyssa as a youth, so taking care of the twins came naturally to her. The transition wasn’t so easy with Shaniqua. They were walking, talking troublemakers! Florence was away all day, she didn’t have any idea of the kind of carnage the twins could cause in just one afternoon alone!

Lilith is a child

It became even worse when the twins had their birthday and became capable of even more mischief. Lilith was the worst! She was truly an ‘evil mastermind’ and her brother was just a little puppet on her strings. She would grow up to be quite the domineering woman, Shaniqua had no doubt about that. She definitely took after Florence when it came to being ‘moody’, too. She was meaner than a starving lion!

She teased her poor brother mercilessly, calling him a ‘girl’. Lilith was rather plain looking, while Nathaniel seemed to get the best of the genes…

Nathaniel is a child

Nathaniel, unlike his sister, was kind and considerate. He was quiet and shy until he got to know you, then he would talk about obscure things–mostly animals and bugs. He took his twin sister’s ribbing in stride, replying that she was just jealous because she looked like a boy.

Despite their arguments, the twins did everything together. Nathaniel was very easy-going and followed along with Lilith’s schemes.

Shaniqua chats up the headmaster

Florence desperately wanted the twins to enroll in the Academy, but found the entrance dinner a bit too much. A mishap with the pork chops caused them to fall all over the headmaster’s lap. He was hardly impressed. Florence left to sulk in her room while Shaniqua ran damage control. She knew how much it meant to Florence and she hated to see her disappointed.

So, for the first time in years, Shaniqua used her charms on a man. Surprisingly, it was new and exhilarating. She didn’t feel repulsed or confused by it. Instead… it made her feel good in a way only Florence had. It troubled her, but she pushed it to the back of her mind when the headmaster shook her hand and accepted the twins. Shaniqua was hardly surprised he had managed to slip her his number during the handshake.

When Florence inquired how she did it, Shaniqua simply said they had a nice chat and left it at that.

Nathaniel cuddles Lord Frey

“You’re such a girl! Only girls like cats,” Lilith said, giving her brother a nasty look.

“You’re just jealous because he hisses at you,” Nathaniel replied, grinning. “If you’d be nice to him, maybe he’d let you pet him.”

Lilith rolled her eyes, “who says I wanna bother with stupid cats?”

“Suit yourself.”

The Anderson girls have dinner

While the twins were busying themselves, Florence spent her time entertaining her mother and sister. They often gathered at her house to chat, as it was neutral ground and Thomas had no qualms with Alyssa visiting Florence. As they sat chatting over pie, Florence brought up Alyssa’s misuse of poor Ryu Yu to their mother Janine.

“Alyssa, is this true?” Janine said, giving her a look. “Ryu is your step-brother, Alyssa. You… you can’t date him.”

Alyssa rolled her eyes and gave a dramatic sigh, “I’m not dating him, mom. He’s my minion–all ‘it’ girls need minions. The fact that he’s my step-brother makes him perfect, ’cause he’ll never want to date me.”

“What is that man teaching you?” Janine said, shaking her head. “You can’t do that, Alyssa. That’s not right. Other people are not your slaves.”

Florence is busted

“Oh, whatever,” Alyssa replied, sticking out her tongue. “Why are we talking about me, anyway? You should be asking Florence when she was going to tell us she’s pregnant!

“What?” Janine and Florence said in unison. If Shaniqua heard, she didn’t say anything.

“Puh-lease,” Alyssa snorted derisively. “It’s so obvious–you’re all bloated and icky looking. What did you do? Sign up for that fertilization testing stuff?” When they both gave her a look, she quickly added: “daddy made me read it–he says a mayor has to know about that stuff.”

Florence swallowed, watching Shaniqua. Shaniqua said nothing, she finished washing and simply walked away. Janine placed her hand over Florence’s sympathetically and gave Alyssa a terrible look.  Alyssa simply shrugged and said:

“Oh come on, you couldn’t hide it forever!”

Note from Mao: I am in love with the twins. Their personalities just came so easily. Expect to see a lot of them (and Alyssa, too, I adore her even if she’s a total witch). And YES Alyssa really did out Florence. I had no idea she was pregnant NOR did I realize I had the same-sex pregnancy hack! Florence, Janine, and Alyssa were chatting when Alyssa’s bubble popped up that pacifier that only appears when a sim is pregnant. I nearly freaked. Florence’s belly popped that night. Sheesh…

Saunders – Round 6: ‘Unfortunate Ends, Pt. 3′

Henry Saunders‘ already large family has grown. His son, Derek, and his wife Katy had twins, Damien and Chuck. Janine Anderson has also moved in. Can this chaotic household find a method to their madness?

Janine and Henry talk to Ryu

“I really think he has a chance, Henry,” Janine said, looking back at the young teenager behind Henry. “What do you think, Ryu? Could you handle the Academy?”

“I don’t know–” Henry began, but was quickly interrupted by Ryu.

“Yes!” Ryu replied,a little more enthusiastically than he had intended. He calmed himself and said, “I mean, I guess so. That would be all right.”

“See? He wants to go,” Janine smiled. “I’ll take care of everything, I promise. He’ll get in.”

Henry shook his head and gave a nervous laugh, “I am really beginning to wonder if you’re not working for some super-secret agency or something, Janine. You have friends everywhere.”

She shook him off, hiding her own nervousness at his prying, “hah, right. But I meant he’ll get in on merit, Henry. I’ll just take care of the preparations.”

“If you say so…”

Damien Saunders

It wasn’t long before the twins had another birthday, growing up to look even more like their respective parents. Damien definitely had a lot of Saunders in him! Though Derek claimed that he didn’t chew on blocks when he was a toddler, that was surely from Katy’s side.

Chuck Saunders

Chuck too more after his mother when it came to his facial structure. They certainly weren’t identical! Ryu helped out as much as he could, because Katy and Derek were busy with work. Besides, twins are a handful, even with four adults and a teenager under one roof.

Janine is pregnant

Of course, the majority of the help came from Janine. She found she was pregnant not long after she’d begun campaigning for Ryu to get into the Academy. Unfortunately, she had to take time off work and that to care for herself. It was a great help to Katy and Derek, but Janine couldn’t help but feel incredibly stupid. She should have been more careful–she was too old for babies and better yet, this interfered with her revenge plot.

No, she hadn’t forgotten about Thomas Anderson and what he’d done. He would get his, surely. Janine wouldn’t let this baby hold her back, she couldn’t. She promised that no matter what, Thomas was going down. It was a shame she hadn’t met Henry before Thomas. Now he was more caught up in it than Janine had ever intended.

Ryu is accepted

Janine decided not to let the pregnancy hold her back from helping Ryu and managed to arrange a visit while everyone was gone. It went over swimmingly and Ryu was accepted into the prestigious Academy. While most would have complained that the uniforms were itchy and stuffy, Ryu was just happy that he’d be able to get closer to Alyssa without Janine watching over them like a hawk.

Ryu knew it was weird to chase his soon-to-be-step-sister… but it wasn’t like they were actually related or anything.

Ryu sneaks out

Of course, with everyone busy with twins and being pregnant, Ryu had no problem sneaking out on school nights. Ryu wasn’t a bad kid, not in the least, but you do not turn down chances like this. The Academy had definitely opened doors. Alyssa finally realized who he was (other than ‘that creepy kid where my mom lives’) and ‘trusted’ him. Well, that’s what she said, anyway. Trust basically meant he was the only male allowed within two feet of her… on a purely friendly basis, of course.

Ryu was in charge of making sure Alyssa enjoyed herself no matter what. When Jun and Henry left for vacation, Alyssa demanded that Ryu abandoned his AP class homework and help her have fun. Ryu knew he’d get in trouble if he got caught, but that was the price one paid. It was definitely worth it.

Janine is uncomfortable

Completely oblivious to the fact that Ryu was fast-becoming Alyssa’s little patsy, the adults of the Saunders house sat discussing crime and politics one morning over breakfast. Janine was especially uncomfortable when Derek started talking about something that hit a little too close to home.

“So, they say that the criminal activity has declined in the past months,” Derek said, a grin on his face. “I bet they caught the ringleader and threw ‘em in jail.”

“No, Derek,” Katy replied, rolling her eyes. “Don’t you remember? The ringleader was thrown in jail two years ago. He was set up by an insider… someone else is at the helm now.”

“Whatever, it’s been quiet for months… he’s either plotting on jailed up like a sucker.”

Janine looked down at her growing belly and hoped they wouldn’t put two-and-two together. In her pregnant state, Janine was hardly fit to participate in her syndicate… but she could still control their every move. She’d have to create a diversion before anyone got wise.

“Janine, are you all right?” Henry said, drawing all attention towards her. “You look sick.”

Janine rose up from her chair, “I feel a little tired, that’s all. I’m going to take a nap.”

Anderson 2 – Round 5: ‘It Takes Two’

Anderson 2 at Round 5

Florence Anderson and Shaniqua Saunders met at University. The definition of a ‘opposites attract’, can these two stick together through Florence’s otherworldly pregnancy?

Shaniqua says 'hi' to the unborn

Shaniqua didn’t waste any time joining Florence after graduation. She moved in and while the idea of Florence being pregnant with aliens was a bit bizarre, she couldn’t help but think it was perfect for their situation. Babies were fun! And these would be purple with pointy ears–even more fun!

Florence worried that Shaniqua really didn’t understand the gravity of the situation, but it was hard to dissuade her. She seemed to happy to talk to Florence’s stomach–she didn’t have the heart to mention her worries.

Florence warns Shaniqua

One day, while they were having lunch, Florence felt it was best to warn Shaniqua of their impending visitors. The neighborhood had been in a whirl lately–what with Thomas and Janine’s divorce, Jun moving in and Janine staying with Henry.

“Our parents are coming over,” Florence said as Shaniqua rose from her seat. “I hope you don’t mind.”

“I still have to tell dad,” Shaniqua said with a sigh. “He thinks we’re just roommates…”

“What? I thought you told him!”

“I meant to, but with all the chaos, I just kinda… forgot. I’ll do it today, though, I promise.”

Shaniqua, Florence, Janine, and Henry

Janine, of course, already knew. She had visited with Florence when she first returned to Boreal Springs and they had a nice, long talk. Janine was a little worried that Florence would be upset about the divorce, but it was quite the opposite. Florence confessed she kinda knew what was up, but could never find any proof.

Shaniqua was true to her word, she confessed to Henry. He took it surprisingly well, laughing, and saying: “Well, I did tell you to stay away from boys…”

It was a pleasant visit and both parents mooned over Florence’s belly.

Ryu talks to Shaniqua

Ryu even stopped by, Shaniqua was his big half-sis, after all. More importantly, she knew a lot about girls. He definitely needed her help. He confided in her about Alyssa Anderson. Shaniqua couldn’t help but wonder how messed up their family tree was going to be when it was all said and done.

She gave him the best advice she could, having dealt with an Anderson woman herself, and sent Ryu on his way. She was worried, of course. Florence had told her about Alyssa–who kept meaning to visit, but was busy–and Shaniqua wasn’t sure Ryu fully realized the dangerous line he was treading. The Saunders and Anderson families had a weird relationship.

Florence is bored

Florence found herself quite bored being pregnant. She couldn’t go to work and sitting down for long periods of time was out of the question, so she couldn’t work on her quest for more knowledge, either. She wandered around the house, tending to the plants and trying to find something productive to do. Knowledge sims just weren’t meant to be pregnant.

Finally, the day came and Florence was surprised when she gave birth to not one, but two, alien babies.

Lilith Anderson

The first was Lilith Anderson. She had her mother’s eyes, but everything else about her was alien.

Nathaniel Anderson

Her twin brother, Nathaniel, followed the same pattern. They were both very cute, though. And very cooperative babies!

Shaniqua feeds Nathaniel

Florence and Shaniqua found that it worked out best if they went in shifts. Florence worked during the day while Shaniqua was home, she cared for them. It was surprisingly easy, the babies were very agreeable. Shaniqua enjoyed their cute little purple faces and tiny pointed ears. They were definitely aliens.

She idly wondered if they’d show any of Florence’s traits–past her eye color–as they grew older.

Florence cares for Lilith

Florence was a natural mother–she had taken care of her younger sister Alyssa. She tended to the babies at night while Shaniqua was working. At first, it was odd waking every few hours, but she got used to it. It was surprisingly comforting to hold the little babies in her arms and cuddle them.

They were aliens, but they were cute and they had a part of her. That was all that mattered.

Shaniqua plays with Lilith

Finally, the twin’s became toddlers and it was much easier to tell them apart. They were still very similar though, and did very similar things. If it weren’t for their different clothes and gender, it would still be very difficult to tell them apart. Lilith was quite fond of giggling, though. She loved to be tickled, much to Shaniqua’s joy. She insisted on fussing with her hair and putting the cute little bow in it… even if Lilith just pulled it right out and started chewing on it.

Nathaniel is a toddler

While the twins were very similar, Nathaniel was a bit more of a loner. He liked to be cuddled, but not nearly as much as his twin sister, Lilith. He much preferred to be off on his own, hammering on the xylophone or getting into trouble. That didn’t stop Shaniqua from dressing him up, though. They later found the cute little yellow scarf clogging the toilet. Florence was not nearly as amused as Shaniqua.

Lord Frey sees a fly

Shaniqua and Florence agreed that maybe the twins would like a little pet and so they adopted Lord Frey. When Shaniqua inquired about the silly name, Florence just laughed and said it was from a book she’d read.

Note from Mao: Yes, twins, AGAIN! Why am I not surprised? This always happens to me… Anyway, it seems weird that the twins are toddlers already, but that was truly four days of playing. They are so cute! I’m disappointed they don’t have alien eyes, but they remind me of my alien hood this way (RIP, sigh)… Oh, and I’ve decided all pet names will be obscure references to books, tv, etc. And again, my fiance named the twins, lol. I don’t think there’s any Matrix reference hidden there this time.

Saunders – Round 5: ‘Unfortunate Ends, Pt. 2′

Saunders Family Round 5

Henry Saunders has a crowded house, what with his fiancee Jun Yu, their son Ryu Yu, and his newly graduated son from his first wife, Derek Saunders, moving in with his fiancee, Katy Fuchs. Can they make it work? And will the news of Thomas and Jun’s affair spread to Henry?

Derek and Katy hug

Graduation was bittersweet for Derek Saunders. On one hand, he could finally pursue his career and make money. On the other hand, he lost Mary and was now engaged to his teenage love, Katy Fuchs. Derek liked Katy, but what they had was nothing compared to how he felt about Mary. She was in his every waking thought, making it incredibly difficult to be amiable with Katy.

Katy was surprisingly understanding and patient. To her, she had Derek and he wasn’t going anywhere. Mary was a respectable girl, after all, she wouldn’t be a ‘on the side fling’. She and Derek would get married and he’d eventually forget all about Mary O`Hanlon.

Henry sees for himself

Meanwhile, Henry found out for himself how troublesome relationships could be. Especially when your significant other is cheating on you with the enemy. Henry had taken a vacation day and apparently Jun hadn’t noticed he was still home. He nearly walked in on them in the kitchen. Instead of confronting them and kicking Thomas out of his house, he sat on his hands, waiting for the right moment.

Ryu sees for himself

Of course, Henry wasn’t the only one who knew. Ryu had seen it, as well. He had come home from school a day or two earlier and there it was, right before his young little eyes, his mother was embracing a stranger! He was torn up, but Jun nor Thomas seemed to notice him. He scrambled inside and tried to rationalize what he saw in his head.

Should he tell dad? But that would make them fight. Derek and Katy argued enough, the house didn’t need more fighting. He reasoned that maybe he saw wrong and kept quiet.

Derek and Ryu talk

Being quiet isn’t easy for a kid on the cusp of their teen years, though, and Ryu ended up confiding in his half-brother Derek.

“You should tell dad,” Derek said sternly. “Why didn’t you?”

“I knew she was no good,” Katy said quietly, muttering from behind her book. Suddenly, she looked apologetic, “Sorry, Ryu, but it’s true. Your mother is… well, maybe it’s best if your father knows.”

“I can’t tell him!” Ryu replied angrily. “He’d never believe me… I’m just a kid. Why don’t you do it, Derek?”

“No way, little dude. I didn’t see a thing.”

Henry confides in Janine

Fortunately for Ryu, he never had to say a word. That evening, Janine Anderson came over at Henry’s request. He had called her cell phone, as always, and was surprised to hear she wasn’t at home. When she arrived, he pulled her into the quietest place and told her everything.

“I know, Henry,” she said with a frown. “Thomas and I are divorced. It’s been a week. I had him followed and he was off on vacation with Jun.”

Why didn’t you tell me?” Henry was understandably hurt. “All this time…”

“I didn’t know how to,” she replied quickly and sadly. “I… I didn’t know if you’d believe me…”

Henry confesses to Janine

“Of course I would have believed you,” Henry responded, gently touching her face. “You’ve always been honest with me.”

“Henry…” she began carefully, but seeing the look on his face, found the confidence to continue. “I haven’t really. I mean, there’s things that–”

“It doesn’t matter. Where are you staying, are you all right?”

“He took everything, even Alyssa.” Janine sniffled. “I’ve been staying at a hotel, but my money is running out. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t trouble you with this.”

Henry shook his head and took her hand, “you can stay here… for as long as you like. It’s a little crowded, but there’s plenty of room.”

Anderson – Round 5: ‘Unfortunate Ends, Pt. 1′

Anderson Family Round 5

Thomas Anderson is getting sloppy when it comes to hiding his affair with Jun Yu (or does he just not care anymore?) Will Janine finally catch him and what will become of Alyssa?

Janine sees Jun

One evening, when Janine had been heading to work (she claimed she was an extra in a crime drama), she ran into Jun Yu approaching the house. She looked surprised and tried to pretend she was just casually walking by. It would have been more convincing had she not been on their porch at the time.

“Nice outfit…” Jun said, giving her a look.

“Yes,” Janine replied coldly. “It is quite a comfortable uniform.”

If Janine hadn’t been suspicious before, she certainly was now.

Alyssa gets into private school

While Janine was at work and after Jun had left, Thomas worked on getting Alyssa accepted into the Private Academy that had recently opened near Boreal Springs. It accepted only the best of the best… which Alyssa was. She picked up things quickly and could memorize equations and phrases beyond her years. It didn’t take much talking to convince the headmaster that she was perfect.

She got her uniform and a one-way-pass to rub elbows with the snootiest kids that area had to offer.

Thomas and Alyssa spend time together

With her acceptance into the Academy, Alyssa found that she got everything she wanted. Before, her father had been nice to her, but now… she was even allowed to eat chips for breakfast! The more she excelled and did as he directed, the more things she got. Her room was overflowing with toys and things other kids wished they had. Of course, that would soon be irrelevant… she was coming up on her first teenage birthday.

That was when the fun of being spoiled would truly come in handy.

Janine and Thomas argue

Janine wasn’t nearly as thrilled about this as Alyssa was. She also wasn’t thrilled with catching Jun coming to the house when she just happened to be leaving for work. She confronted Thomas, but of course, it did nothing.

“You expect me to believe that Jun was just passing by? I’m not a complete idiot, Thomas!”

“I never said I expected you to believe anything. You’re the one assuming things.” He replied easily. “But I can’t talk about this now. As you know, I have a conference to attend.”

“How convenient.” Janine mumbled.

Janine checks the mail

Janine would not be so easily brushed aside, however. She had her ‘dear’ husband followed by an associate. It took a day or two for the package to arrive. When it did, Janine was hardly shocked. Why hadn’t she seen it before? How could she have been so blind? Conference, indeed.

She knew when Henry told her Jun was gone–for some work thing–that something was up. Now she had the proof. Could she bring herself to show it to Henry? They had a child together.

Thomas and Jun meet

Jun was hardly at ‘some work thing’ and the only conference Thomas had was with Jun. They met at the island, and Thomas knew that they were being followed. It didn’t matter much… Thomas had a plan. He always had a plan.”I hope this is a celebratory vacation,” Jun said with a slightly annoyed tone. “I’m sick of sneaking around and that house is so crowded!

“Oh, don’t worry,” Thomas assured her with a grin. “It is. But this is the only way I could ensure that despite the adultery, everything will still be mine.”

“Your wife is scary, Thomas.”

“Not nearly as scary as me.”

Jun talks to Henry while Thomas grins

“Yes, Ryu,” Jun said into the receiver with a sigh, “I’m sure it was great. Can you give the phone back to your daddy now?”

Jun had to keep the guise up, at least until they returned. She took calls and made sure to keep her lies straight–with the help of Thomas, of course. There was some satisfaction in sticking someone you disliked in the back with a knife. Thomas was enjoying this vacation quite a bit.

“…yeah, it’s raining. Really nasty weather…”

Alyssa is a teen

When Thomas returned, it was just in time for Alyssa’s birthday. She grew into a beautiful young lady and surprisingly, took after her father in features and retained her mother’s coloring. Of course, with her attitude and charisma, she was the newest ‘it’ girl at the academy.

She was harsh, cruel, and domineering. Nothing got in the way of what she wanted–she could have anything and everything! As long as she followed her father’s wishes, of course, and his first decree was no dating. That wouldn’t be too hard. She preferred torturing them to dating them, anyway.

Thomas tells Janine to beat it

Janine sat on her hands when it came to confronting Thomas. She wanted to, but if she did, it would cause a domino effect that would quickly reach Henry. He deserved to know, but she didn’t want him to find out like that. Unfortunately, Janine couldn’t have known that Thomas was plotting behind her back. He came home from work and approached her.

“I’m surprised you’ve kept quiet this long–I know you know, Janine. You had us followed. I also happen to know why you’ve got more gold than a bank.” He smiled cruelly. “You’re not the only one who can have someone followed.”

“What do you want?” Janine growled, her fists balling at her sides.

“Everything. We divorce ‘amiably’ in the eyes of the courts; irreconcilable differences–you’re a wanted criminal and I have Jun. The house, everything, it’s mine. You can go where and do as you please. But you won’t get a damned thing. If you don’t agree, you’ll find that these amenities won’t help you much behind bars.”

“You bastard,” Janine snarled. “This isn’t over!”

“Sure it is, good bye, Janine.”

Alyssa stays with Thomas

Janine woke Alyssa up hurriedly, telling her to pack her things. Alyssa looked at her oddly a minute before realization hit her. She frowned, but not entirely.

“I can choose who I stay with, can’t I?”

“Yes, you can. You’re old enough.” Janine said sadly. She knew where this was going and now all that time Thomas spent with her made sense. “Alyssa…”

“I want to stay with daddy.”

Janine leaves

As Janine left the house, a million thoughts ran through her mind. She narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists tightly. This was not over. Thomas was sneaky, but Janine was resourceful… and what did she have to lose? Nothing.

This was far from over.

Note from Mao: Okay, truth time… Thomas was caught by accident because I am an idiot. Janine was headed to work and Jun came over. I had Thomas greet her while Janine was in the carpool and well, yeah. But it was more interesting story wise this way.

Saunders – Round 4: ‘No Drama?’

Saunders family Round 4

Henry Saunders was nice enough to let his girlfriend, Jun Yu, move in with him and his twin daughters–Shaniqua and Gina. Jun Yu eventually gave birth to Henry’s son, Ryu Yu. How long can Henry remain ignorant to the fact that Jun is seeing his enemy, Thomas Anderson, behind his back?

Shaniqua can't do it

Things for the Saunders had been going so well, it was only a matter of time before something ‘bad’ happened. To Shaniqua, it was the end of the world. A boy from school had been chatting her up and flirting. It was all in good fun… and then, well, as teens tend to want to do, they kissed–or well, tried.

‘What am I doing?’ Shaniqua’s inner-voice interrupted the moment before their lips touched. She pushed the boy away, “No. Stop.”

Shaniqua is confused

“I’m sorry,” Shaniqua apologized suddenly, seeing the look on his face. “It’s… not you, it’s me.”

He rolled his eyes, muttered something inappropriate under his breath, and quickly stalked out of the Anderson house. It was a good thing he did, as Gina was watching carefully from the kitchen doorway, eyes narrowed on the lecherous young male.

Shaniqua pushed past her and ran to their room, not wanting to see or speak with anyone.

Henry teaches Ryu to walk

Meanwhile, Ryu was growing up by the day. He was learning to walk, albeit it slowly. Henry tried his best to help him, but Ryu was different than his siblings. He was an independent little toddler and he was determined to stand up by himself. It amused Henry to no end.

Jun preoccupied herself with working on her next big promotion at work. She wasn’t much into babies and was thankful Henry was. It meant she really didn’t have to do anything.

Shaniqua cooks

Really, nothing at all. Henry took care of Ryu, Gina kept everyone fed, and when Henry was at work, both the girls took care of Ryu. It was Heaven, as far as Jun was concerned. Everyone was so oblivious–she could sneak off anytime she wished!

Of course, Gina wasn’t thinking about Jun’s happiness or ability to cheat on her beloved father. Instead, as she pounded the hamburger meat a tad too roughly, she was thinking about Shaniqua. She’d been acting so strange lately and Gina couldn’t understand it. College was around the corner! Shaniqua had even abandoned her high-profile lifestyle and started being a loner.

Ryu is a child

Of course, despite her ‘fall from grace’, Shaniqua always had time for her little brother. Ryu was a kid before anyone really knew it–time seemed to go by so fast. He fit in perfectly with the rest of the Saunders household. His last name may have been ‘Yu’, but everything about him screamed ‘Saunders’.

Jun talks to Thomas

Of course, if Henry knew what Jun was doing behind his back, Ryu wouldn’t be the only one ‘screaming’. But he was blissfully oblivious–both due to his refusal to hear gossip and his natural-born ability to be a little… dense. He certainly wasn’t stupid, but his first wife was a perfect example of his inability to see things as they truly were…

Like when everyone is eating, but Jun is sneaking around in the other room, talking into the phone with hushed tones. A little suspicious.

Jun is busted. Again.

Henry also had no idea that Jun’s parents had stopped by while he was at work and Ryu was at school. They caught Jun with Thomas and it didn’t end well. They had come over to see Ryu, but upon seeing that, Risa read Jun the riot act. That never went over well.

Jun told her parents they’d be lucky if they ever saw Ryu and stormed into the house, dragging Thomas behind her.

Henry just misses Thomas...

Due to all that fuss, Thomas and Jun’s little ‘alone time’ ran longer than usual. Henry got off work before Ryu and twins had left for University. Thomas just barely managed to leave before Henry headed towards the house. It was a close call–they were getting sloppy.

If Henry had seen him… well, there would be more drama than one round could possibly handle. So it’s good he didn’t, because this is where we end. Heh.

Note from Mao: None of these pictures are ‘set up’. This is gameplay as it happens… or wants I am fulfilling at the behest of the silly, drama-lusting sims. That was definitely close… guh.

Anderson – Round 4: ‘The Easy Life’

Round 4

Financially, the Anderson family is the most well-off in all of Boreal Springs. Beneath the wealth lies Thomas‘ affair with Jun Yu and Janine‘s meanderings into the crime world. Can Alyssa grow up into a well-adjusted adult, or will she fall victim to her parent’s vices?

Thomas plays with Alyssa

While Thomas might not have been the doting husband, he sure found enough time to pay attention to Alyssa. While she looked like Janine, her personality seemed more tuned towards Thomas. He had hoped for a boy, to pass on his knowledge and money to, but Alyssa was close enough.

He spent plenty of time playing with her. He enjoyed her–she was quite cute–but he also wanted to ensure where her loyalty would lie. Thomas was making plans in his head and Alyssa had a part to play.

Janine and Henry chat

Meanwhile, Janine was doing her ‘wifely duties’ and keeping up friendships with the neighbors. At least, that’s what she told Thomas. In reality… she was often chatting with Henry Saunders. He was her warm blanket of comfort amongst the disarry that was her life… and the news that he was getting married nearly had her choking on a meatball.

“Are you sure, Henry? Isn’t that a bit sudden?” Janine managed, trying not to sound as anguished as she felt. “Do you love her–it isn’t just for the baby is it? I mean, you can’t do that–”

“Janine, calm down,” Henry laughed, completely missing the reasoning behind her anxiety. He was a bit thick that way. “You’re worse than the girls! I’m a grown man, I can make my own decisions.”

Janine sighed, “I’m sorry, it just surprised me. I mean… Jun Yu, of all people… Henry you–”

He shook his head, “I don’t want to hear it, Janine. How is Alyssa?”

The immediate change of subject was a sign that no matter what Janine said, Henry was going to marry Jun. She shook off the wave of nausea and tried her best to sound happy as she talked about Alyssa.

Alyssa thinks about Janine

“She’s a little girl now–very beautiful. I’m worried about her, though. Thomas spends a lot of time with her, and for that, I’m glad… but… her attitude. I just don’t know what to do.”

“What do you mean?”

Janine sighed, “I sent her to her room after I got a call from the school saying she called another little girl ‘poor white trash’!”

Henry grimaced, “That’s… not good. Is it Thomas, do you think?”

“He’s many things, but not that. We’ve all be doing well lately… maybe we’ve been spoiling her. Whatever it is, it’s going to stop.”

Thomas and Jun

“I saw the paper the other day–Thomas is doing… very well for himself.” Henry said with some hesitation. He was careful to guard his face so his distaste didn’t show. “Is he still out at all hours?”

Janine frowned, “yes… he’s always working.”

“And you, too? How is your work going?” Henry glanced at the rings on her fingers. “You are sure a lot more… decorated lately.”

Thomas and Jun

Janine hid her hands under the table. “I work nights, but I don’t have to worry about poor Alyssa being alone. Thomas always seems to be able to get home in time for me to leave work and put her to bed. I guess it gives them some time to spend together. It’s better than a nanny.”

Henry chuckled, “I think I’d prefer the nanny to him.”

“Henry!” Janine scolded, though the grin on her lips betrayed her. “Be nice. He’s a workaholic, but he’s not an awful man. There’s much worse in the world.”

“You’re right, I’m sorry, Janine.” Henry glanced at his watch and stood up. “I have to go–Ryu will be home in twenty minutes.”

“That’s all right, I need to go to work. Thanks for coming over.”

Janine goes to work

Janine pulled the black cap over her mess of curls and gently tucked them in as she sat in the car. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. It was a rush, to be sure, but there was always danger… a stray gunshot, a brave guardsman… but the money.

“Let’s go.” She said to the driver–they were always different and always without names or seemingly even faces. It was for the best. “So many banks and so little time…”

Note from Mao: I realize this was a weird way to narrate an entry, but I love Henry and Janine and they are always over at one another’s houses (3 bolts, anyone?); them chatting like old married ladies was coming sooner or later!!

Saunders – Round 3: ‘A Crowded House’

Saunders Family Round 3

Henry Saunders has found himself in quite the situation; his girlfriend, Jun Yu, has just moved in after being kicked out of her home. Derek is on his way to University and the twins, Gina and Shaniqua, are enjoying their days as carefree teens. Will Jun’s little ‘secret’ disrupt their happiness?

The Saunders family has dinner

Henry: Okay, excuse me if this is a little awkward… I’m not really used to this sort of thing. In fact, I don’t really get the point, but I’ll give in. For now. Things around the house have changed drastically. Jun moved in–her family kicked her out–and I was worried that the kids would react badly.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. It really surprised me how they all acted as if it was nothing. I suppose it helps that Jun acts more like a kid than an adult, but still. I suppose I’m just expecting it to blow up in my face. Most things tend to go that way…

Jun tells Henry she's pregnant

A month or two after moving in, Jun pulled me aside. She’d been acting oddly lately and I couldn’t help but notice she seemed a little… heavier. It wasn’t an insult! It’s just, she’s a small framed girl and you tend to notice those things really easily.

I hardly expected her to say that she was pregnant, though. We’d been really careful… or so I’d thought. Accidents happen, it seems. I felt horrible, bringing a child into the world under such… odd circumstances, but Jun ignored my attempts chivalry and said things were fine the way they were.

Jun meets with Thomas

Eventually, Jun had to take time off work. I wasn’t sure what she did all day or how she kept herself busy with everyone gone. She’s a very social person and I can’t see her being happily cooped up in the house all day. Not to mention she hardly enjoyed being pregnant. I could tell she wasn’t happy about it, even if she wouldn’t admit it.

Certain days were better than others. When I came home, she seemed oddly… happy. I didn’t question it–it was a thankful reprieve from crazy hormonal bouts of rage.

Shaniqua and Gina get A+ report cards

My girls are growing up so fast… but it isn’t so bad. So far, Shaniqua has managed to squelch out her need for boys in an attempt to join Gina and Mary O`Hanlon at University. For that, I’m thankful… until I realize how many hormonal boys there are at college campuses. At least Derek will be there to watch over them for a year or two.

Shaniqua and Gina were beaming when they brought me their report cards. They’d both earned straight A’s. It was all in thanks to their study plan that involved constantly doing all their schoolwork together. It worked, I’ll give them that.

Gina disapproves of Derek's lounging

Derek, however, wasn’t as concerned with his studies as he was his girlfriend Katy. Gina had tried to get him to join her and Shaniqua, but he always declined. I just hoped he could keep his GPA high enough to get accepted… time was not on his side.

Gina often commented that if there was a scholarship for hormones, Derek would have gotten it for sure. I wasn’t quite sure what to think about that…

Jun goes into labor

Jun went into labor late one evening when only the kids were around. Gina was sure to relate the tale to me while we waited in the hospital. I hoped she was joking and simply overemphasizing certain details.

“What are you doing?” Gina demanded, watching as Shaniqua hastily leafed through a tawdry romance novel.

“There has to be SOMETHING in here about this!” The twin squeaked in response, her eyes wide. Jun let out another wail.

“Put the stupid book down!” Gina scolded, watching as Shaniqua flung it on the floor in frustration. “All that’s in there is how to make babies… not what to do with them!”

“I’ll… go call dad.” Derek said finally, snapping out of his stupor. His face was white as a ghost.

Henry proposes to Jun

Jun gave birth to a little boy that she insisted be named ‘Ryu’. He had her family’s last name, but he looked more a Saunders than anything. I was disappointed that he didn’t have my name, but Jun had been so cranky I wasn’t about to approach her with a ring.

I waited until I was sure she was in a ‘decent’ mood. It wasn’t the most romantic thing and a little voice in my head kept asking me if I was sure… but it needed to be done. I’m a family guy and I won’t leave a woman hanging like that.

She said yes, of course, though I could see she was shocked. Her face turned as pale as Derek’s when I saw him at the hospital, after Jun had given birth. I didn’t pay much mind to it–maybe she was just nervous…

The twins build a snowman

Derek left for University not long after that. The house continued to run as normal, but his presence was missed. The twins kept themselves busy, off in their own little world. I watched them build a snowman together:

“There we go,” Gina said with a smile, hands proudly on her hips. “Do you have the carrot?”

“What?” Shaniqua replied, a guilty look crossing her face. “Um… no.”

“…what happened to it?”

“I got hungry! I ate it–I thought it was a snack…”

Gina sighed, “I guess we’ll just have a noseless snowman.”

“Doesn’t he need a head before a nose, anyway?”

Gina confronts her father

My girls were incredibly understanding about the situation with Jun. They were a great help in Ryu’s care, too. I really didn’t want to hire a nanny and it worked out so our schedules allowed for the girls to care for him while Jun and I were away at work. So, it was quite a surprise when Gina asked me: “are you sure this is the right thing to do?”

Despite being the adult in the situation, I couldn’t help but look at her dumbly. She completely blindsided me with that. When did my little girls become such grownups?

“Gina, I don’t quite understand what you’re saying.”

“Do you love her, dad? You shouldn’t marry her if you don’t. Ryu would understand. He’d want you to be happy, like we do. You deserve it.”

“I am happy,” I countered, though a bit more forcedly than I expected. “You don’t need to concern yourself. This is for the best. Don’t worry about me–I want this.”

Gina was completely unconvinced, I could see it on her face, but she didn’t say a word about it again. Shaniqua sat quietly, aghast at her sister’s brashness. Gina always was the more serious of the two–the ‘little’ adult. Still, if my girls were worrying about my happiness… did that mean I wasn’t happy? I couldn’t realy tell and I hadn’t really thought about it.

Ryu becomes a toddler

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of changing diapers, Ryu had a birthday. He was finally ready to use the potty. Which was certainly a good thing–I had thought my diaper changing days ended a long time ago.

He looks almost exactly like me, much like Derek did at his age. He even has that mop of curly hair. My hair straightened as I got older, but Derek’s seems adamant to stay curly. We’ll have to wait and see how Ryu’s turns out.

Note from Mao: I got a lot of lucky shots in this, for which I was thankful. Wants were also all over the place! Henry feared having a baby, but wanted to get engaged/married to Jun. Jun feared getting engaged/married… it was crazy. This house is kinda crazy. Phew.

Anderson – Round 3: ‘Florence Fails’

Ander Family Round 3

The Anderson Family have unwittingly found themselves in the midst of the neighborhood ‘drama storm’. Janine is completely ignorant of this fact, too busy being pregnant, while Florence has a suspicion as to her father, Thomas‘, involvement.

Florence is troubled by Alyssa

Florence: I’m going crazy! My grades are tanking–I’m close to failing… me! FAILING!–and my parents are two pod people from planet oblivious. But wait, I guess I’m getting ahead of myself. Sorry, I’m just… ugh.

It all started with Alyssa. I hate to say it, but it’s true.

Janine goes into labor

Mom went into labor in the late evening… and of course, dad was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, being the responsible young woman that I am, I was able to get my mom to the hospital. She gave birth several hours later to a little girl–Alyssa. And that’s when all the trouble started… my trouble, at least.

Mom went back to work and dad acted like nothing had happened at all. I was stuck caring for her instead of having a nanny around… sigh. I’m a teenager! Does it look like I have time for babies? I have to study!

Thomas and Janine are indifferent

Of course, if my parents were total ‘pod people’, they’d get it. I have no idea what’s up with them. It’s been going on for a few years now and it just keeps getting worse. If they’re so unhappy, why don’t they get a divorce? I don’t even want to know how Alyssa came around… blegh.

I think dad is having some weirdo mid-life crisis and mom just doesn’t want to deal with it. She’s so secretive lately… and anytime you ask her about work, she gets this look in her eyes! Poor Alyssa, she’ll be all alone with only these pod people to ‘raise’ her.

Florence cares for Alyssa

She should be glad she has me around. As much as I want to get into University, I can’t ignore her crying. She’s just a baby, after all. Unfortunately, this the reasoning that got me an F and nearly ruined my chances at getting into Boreal Summit University…

But what was I supposed to do? Just leave her? Mom and dad were always at work.

Thomas has a phone call

I’m really certain dad is going through something. He gets weird phone calls and they’re always very ‘hush-hush’. If anyone walks into the room while he’s using the phone–for any reason–he gets livid! That, or he quickly hangs up and stalks off.

If mom is suspicious, she doesn’t show it. Ignorance is bliss. It’s so weird–I mean, what’s he doing? Shady business deals? My dad is a total workaholic freak. An affair really just doesn’t fit him at all. His only love is work.

Florence, Thomas, and Janine have a chat

We rarely, if ever, have ‘meals’ together. One morning, I managed to catch them both at the same time. I asked them to sit down. I was failing and my chances at going to B.S.U. were looking null and void. It was like talking to a brick wall, neither reacted. I could hear them chewing, it was just that silent.

Finally, mom spoke up. Her face was completely devoid of any emotion. She just stared down and said, “I’ll take care of it.”

I tried to ask her how, why, and what? But she ignored me. What does that even mean? Does it have to do with her job?

Alyssa becomes a toddler

Whatever she did do for a job, she wore normal enough outfits. She managed to come home early to see Alyssa’s second birthday. She’s really cute, I’ll admit it. She’s almost an exact copy of mom. That’s good, I guess, since I took a lot after dad…

After that, she was really active with Alyssa and I wasn’t stuck with her so much. I managed to pull my grades up, but I lost my scholarships. Even with all the work I had done, I still only had a D.

Thomas says 'hello' to Jun

Unfortunately, that’s when things went from bad to worse. Dad was all but absent from the house now. I heard him coming in really late at night, like around 1am! What kind of job keeps you out that late? I was beginning to think it wasn’t a job at all. Rumors had been going around and I’d tried to ignore them… but…

It just doesn’t make any sense. I guess I can’t really say anything until I see it with my own eyes. The rumor mill is usually full of crap.

Florence says goodbye to Alyssa

To be honest, I really didn’t have time to worry about it. I would be a high school graduate and my own life waited in front of me. I’d spent all my youth worrying about my weirdo parent’s problems. Let them do it for once.

Alyssa would miss me, I could tell. I told her ‘goodbye’ and she frowned and reached for me. She couldn’t talk much, so she just pulled on my hair. I’d miss her, too, but it’d be nice to be in a quiet place for once.

Florence leaves for University

Whatever mom did, it worked. I got my acceptance letter and before I knew it, I was off to University. I was a little late, though, so I’d be starting my first semester during the second. It was okay, I could get caught up.

While I appreciate what my mom did, she shouldn’t have had to. I’m a hardworking student and I had never, ever gotten a single mark below an A for my entire scholastic career. At least, not until now. I was going to prove my worth. I’d get a 4.0 or die trying. Look out, B.S.U…. here I come!

Note from Mao: Poor Florence’s grades really did suck! It was because of Alyssa, too. Poor girl! I hated to see her not go, so I used her mother’s career as sort of a ‘loophole’. Bad, I know, but she’s a Knowledge sim! She can’t go without Uni.
