Yu 2 – Round 19: ‘Moving On, End’

Ryu and Tracey Yu are happy with their twins and thankful that they are now old enough to take care of themselves.  Will the twins prosper or join the rest of the current generation in chaos?

As with most twins at a young age, Shelly and Marcus enjoyed doing things together.  Unfortunately for Marcus, Shelly knew her twin well enough to cheat at most of the things she did.  She didn’t mean any harm by it, but she wasn’t about to lose to a boy.  Marcus was none-the-wiser.

Tracey, meanwhile, was feeling her age.  She looked into the mirror and tried to pinpoint the wrinkles and lines.  She was surprisingly youthful, but her inability to stop dyeing her hair helped with that.  At least she hadn’t changed too much.  From a distance, she still looked like her old self.  Unfortunately, her body felt differently about that fact.  She just hoped she could keep it together long enough to fulfill her dream.

Shelly was trying to make friends, but her inherent nature for pointing out the obvious made it difficult.  Cole O`Hanlon wasn’t very happy when she began teasing him about being an alien.  The two got into quite the little tiff, with Shelly feeling badly as Cole stormed off.  He was proud of his uniqueness and he wasn’t going to have anyone tell him otherwise.

Especially not a girl whose family was clearly deranged.

Yu 3 – Round 18: ‘Polyamorous, Pt. 7′

Shang Yu is happily divorced and has drug his long-time-lover Katarina Anderson and his 2nd son, James, along with him to his new home in Downtown.

Despite their difference in age, Shang and Katarina had always gotten along famously. They even understood one another to the point of neither so much as blinking an eye at the other’s indiscretions. Granted, Shang took the cake when it came to things like that, but Katarina was no angel herself.

Now they were together in an ‘open’ relationship. Shang was home from his tour for awhile and Katarina spent a lot of time helping him tweak certain songs.

“Tweak that one a bit, babe,” he said, strumming lightly, listening. “A little more, that should do it.”

Shang was well-known for his exploits with women and while most men of his ilk were horrible fathers, Shang was not. He cared deeply for both of his sons and made sure that they were taken care of. Hugh knew of his father’s ways and wasn’t dismayed when he saw him out with women, but James had quite awhile to go before he’d be able to understand.

Of course, with Hugh, it was easy. It was only his father, not both of his parents. Poor little James…

Cara Anderson came by to interview him for one of her columns–she was working her way up in the media–and he had to admit, that prim-and-proper bit was hot. He knew she was very married to Roman Anderson, but what could he say? Those Anderson women, he had a weakness!

He made a few little jokes and did his usual bit with the charm. He was surprised when she almost seemed responsive, but then suddenly, she drew away. Oh, this would be fun… even Kat would get a kick out of this!

James became a child and looked quite a bit like his father, though he certainly looked more like a Yu than anything. He had his father’s charm and seemed to be rather easy-going. Only time would tell if he turned out anything like his parents or not…

Shang and Lacie had a bit of an affair in the hottub and even while she was pregnant, Shang continued to charm her. He didn’t much like to hear her talk, but she couldn’t deny that she was smokin’ hot. He kind of pitied Nevio, though. He was Kat’s brother and well, he wasn’t a bad guy… just not too bright.

No one in their right mind would mess around with Lacie on a serious level. That woman should have been born with green eyes!

Being Downtown had definitely helped Katarina’s career. She was at the top of the party scene now–there wasn’t a huge event that she wasn’t invited to. Of course, she made sure she still had time for James. She was usually gone while he was asleep, anyway. She spent a better part of the day with him, helping him with his homework, and trying to embrace her maternal instincts.

James brought his Uncle Marcus home from school one day. He was quite surprised to find out that his friend was technically his uncle.

“It’s true, you know,” Marcus said in a sagely tone. “I’m technically your mother’s half-brother.”

“That’s… just weird.” James remarked, making a face.

Marcus laughed, “have you met your older brother yet? He’s technically my cousin!”

Note from Mao: Man, talk about twisted family trees! Poor James, I worry for his future. This house needs revolving doors. One scene I laughed too hard at to get a picture of was Katarina teaching James to do his homework near the stairs and front door. Two women came up in their underwear and immediately went to leave. Seconds later, Shang comes walking up the stairs in his underwear and makes a whistle motion at Katarina while walking by.

Yu 2 – Round 18: ‘Moving On, Pt. 3′

Ryu and Tracey have come a long way, leaving their former spouses behind.  With their hectic work schedules, can they ensure that the twins, Marcus and Shelly, make it to childhood?

Even after so long, Ryu was the primary caregiver.  It was quite the role reversal, as Alyssa had taken care of most of the ‘rearing’ as far as children were concerned before.  Now it was up to him.  It wasn’t particularly hard and his increasing age gave him more and more patience.

It was hard to be patient with certain things, though, like Katarina.  She held no grudges at all and would visit now and again.  She was shacked up with Shang and Ryu wasn’t quite sure how he felt about that.  He still couldn’t imagine her as a mother, though Alyssa had said she was doing surprisingly well.

Katarina only visited during the afternoon and evening, while Tracey was off at work.  She had no problem with her new siblings, but she really didn’t care to meet Tracey.

The twins’ birthday came and went, and despite being children, old habits die hard.  They still spent a lot of time at the little drawing table, having competitions as to who could ‘draw better’.  Neither one came out on top of the other, Ryu wasn’t sure if his creativity had passed on to either of them.

They saw their mother late in the evening, when they usually had dinner.  She always made sure to inquire about their day, school, and everything that would happen while she was away.  It wasn’t easy leaving them behind and going to work, but she was nearly at the top and it wouldn’t be much longer until she needn’t worry about it any longer.

Of course, by then, they’d be teens caring for themselves, but sims don’t usually plan that far ahead…

Despite Tracey being gone a lot, life was good for the twins.  Of course, not everyone was kind about it.  Timothy and Marcus were friends, but Timothy always gave poor Shelly such a hard time.  Kids would be kids and what goes on in their mind when they tease girls is always the same…

—————-

Note from Mao: Katarina is as bad as Shang!  She stops over autonomously constantly–it’s crazy.  Timothy teased Shelly on his own, which made me laugh…

Yu 2 – Round 17: ‘Moving On, Pt. 1′

Ryu and Tracey Yu may have come together under… questionable circumstances, but they are happy nonetheless. The twins, however, are still quite a handful.

Tracey was elated to have more children, though she did miss Michael terribly. She put all her attention towards the twins, trying to push away her saddness. She was sure once Michael was more readily able to make his own decisions, she’d see him.

Just as long as Tracey didn’t have to see Gordon, that is. His threat had chilled her to the core. The less she saw or heard of him, the better. He was terrifying to her now.

Surprisingly, there had been little drama due to the result of their mutual break-ups and sudden marriage. Ryu’s children had been a little… baffled, but they were older and too busy with their own lives to really care too much. Tracey was well-aware of the fact that Ryu had been married to the mayor and made sure not to give Alyssa any opportunities to make her pay for it.

Even with the twins keeping them busy at all hours, Tracey and Ryu were quite happy.

Of course, once the twins became toddlers, their alone time pretty much stopped. Shelly and Marcus weren’t bad, they were just insanely curious, as all toddlers tend to be. Tracey solved this by putting a little table for them to play on in the living room. It kept them occupied and far, far away from the toliet and other dirty things they loved putting their hands into.

Ryu and Tracey took care of the twins in shifts. Ryu was at the top of his career, so he had more flex time. He mostly took care of the children during the day, though his phone rang off the hook and he spent a considerable amount of time hunched over his computer. He was more than happy to support Tracey’s dream of reaching the top of her field. After all, it had been Ryu himself who recruited her.

Tracey took over at night, right after she got home from work. She was defintiely busy at work, but always happy to come home and play with the twins. She wasn’t tired, she was exhausted, but having children was tiring work and it was just something you learned to deal with. She really didn’t want to miss out on anything… especially given how much of Michael’s life she was being forced to miss.

Note from Mao: This round FLEW by, seriously. I barely got these pictures. It was like clockwork and before I knew it, it was over. Sheesh! Twins keep them busy, that’s for sure. And how funny is it that this lot is “yu 2″? /snickers

Note about the Site: Perhaps you noticed that BS was down/blank for the past 15 hours. Issue with WP. Now fixed. Also, I used an online genealogy thing to make an interactive hood family tree. It is very, very cool. You can see it here.

Saunders 2 – Round 16: ‘Message in a Bottle, End’

Now that Tracey has found out about Gordon, what will happen? Poor little Michael is going to be very confused.

Tracey sat on the couch, trying to focus on the paper. Everytime she saw a police report, she couldn’t help but wonder as to what Gordon’s involvement was. She hadn’t meant to find out, but when she pulled the wrong book from the bookcase and it slid aside, her curiosity demanded she search deeper. It was there she found the secret basement, the little ‘room’, everything. She was horrified.

The only thing left to do was… well, Tracey wasn’t sure about it anymore. She was starting to get a little scared.

Of course that fear dissipated when Gordon walked through the door. He had been off in Aperture, working on ‘business’ again. Tracey knew that was a lie, his business was criminal and that’s what he’d been doing.

“Someone has been nosing around,” Gordon said, his voice calm and completely the opposite of Tracey’s frenzied tone. “What are you going to do about it, Tracey? Tell your cop boyfriend?”

“What?” She hissed, trying to push back the sudden rush of embarassment. How… how did he know about that?

“Don’t look so surprised, it makes your nose look crooked,” he said, leaning forward, grinning. In his hands, he held a document. “And this? That’s cute, real cute.”

“Where did you get that?!” It was the evidence she’d gathered from his room beneath the house. She had turned it directly into the police. “You criminal!”

“Ah, ah… clever criminal, Tracey. The police department is mine. Remember that Ryu isn’t a cop, he’s an agent. I can’t claim to have anything on the federal bureau… but when there’s no evidence, why should I worry?”

Tracey narrowed her eyes, “there’s me! I’ll testify!”

“No, you won’t,” Gordon replied, the charm gone from his voice. “I don’t necessarily care that he slept with you… we Saunders men have an indirect way of passing our wives around. No, it’s simply the fact you thought you could get away with it. You’re wrong, Tracey, wrong. You’ll get your divorce… but Michael is mine.”

“I have a reputation to uphold. You can have the house, I’ll give you that much, but everything else is mine. I hope you have some savings, Tracey… or you may just have to sell and move back to those dear islands you so love.”

Tracey walked away from him, trying to restrain her sobs, “y-you can’t take him–”

“I can and I am,” Gordon’s voice was cold as ice. “I have evidence, Tracey. Evidence of adultery. I can take anything I want. Michael is mine and I suggest you say your goodbyes. We’re leaving as soon as my driver arrives.”

“This isn’t right, Gordon!” She wailed into her hands, unable to look up. “He needs a mother!”

“A mother, perhaps… but you? No. Be glad I’m letting you live, Tracey. Be thankful. And remember what I said, should you ever find yourself even thinking of walking into a courthouse.”

Tracey wasted no time. She quickly wiped away her tears and ran into Michael’s room. He was packing his things into a suitcase and the image of such a thing was monstrous to Tracey. She yanked him away and into her arms, hugging him tightly and sobbing.

“Mommy loves you, Michael. Always remember that. I didn’t mean for it to be this way.”

“It’s all right, mom,” Michael said in that same calm voice that Gordon had. “I know.”

“I will see you again, I promise I will. Somehow.”

Michael said nothing. He gave his mother a soft, hesitant smile and picked up his bag. Tracey watched as he left through the door, joining Gordon who had several men moving things out of the house at a rapid pace.
