Cricket, cricket…

I haven’t given up on this, not in the least.  I’m on generation five, for crying out loud!  Last week, though, I decided to take a small break from playing The Sims 2.  I just need it.  Other things to do, other important things that need my time.  Plus, these little breaks help me enjoy the game more.

Don’t worry, I’ll come back to this soon, I promise!

Everything Zen

Jim and I didn’t really waste much time when we got home.  We did some meeting and greeting with my parents and then got all the wedding business out of the way.  I was never really all that much into pomp and ceremony, anyway.  So it was ideal for me.  Jim was hoping to find something in Athletics, but had no luck.  He decided to mill around the house and play in the garden while he waited for something to come up.  I was more interested in picking up as many skills as I could.

Cupid De Locke

The following is taken from letters sent from Magdalene to her parents during her stay at University.

Dear Mom & Dad,

How are things going there?  Do you miss me yet?  I know dad probably got this first, so just make sure you tell mom thanks for the Snapdragon she sent me.  It’s a real help.  I spend a lot of time studying and especially some pretty late nights.  I’ve also been trying to work on my magic a bit, but I don’t think it comes as easily to me as grandma Margaret or great grandma Elise.  I’ve got quite a reputation building about being that ‘weirdo chick’ who flies to class on a broom…

More Human Than Human

Noelle was a big help when it came to my painting.  I didn’t realize she was good at that sort of thing, I figured it all stopped with music.  Apparently, I am pretty clueless as to the realms of creativity and how they are all intertwined.  Regardless, she was a huge help!  With her, I not only sold my first ‘masterpiece’, but I also maximized my knowledge of the hobby.  Both very awesome things, I must admit.

Just Like Heaven

As soon as I returned home from University, Noelle and I didn’t waste any time.  She was more the type to marry first and then move in, so I obliged her.  We’re not loaded, but we’re secure and I think Noelle was a little surprised, though pleased.  She’s not a gold digger, but she’s got finances on the brain, that’s for sure.  Maybe with her help, our bank account will actually increase… dad never did much to help it and mom’s interests have always been in knowledge and the pursuit of it.

Rhythm is a Dancer

Going to university was a major change for me.  I mean, I’d spent my entire life at home, with my family – my mom and grandmother especially.  I really missed them, but I heeded their advice.  I had to find a suitable girl to settle down with.  I’m not really the type to really make that my focus, but I wasn’t about to disappoint them, so I gave it a shot.  I went to a local club after class and met a pretty cool woman named Edith.  We had similar interests – she was an art student and it showed.

We talked for a bit and then went on a date.  I had fun, but I wasn’t prepared for what happened after our date ended.

The Werewolf, The Witch, & The Womanizer

Even with Hadrian around during the day, I still have to find time for my lovers.  Sometimes I’ll spend nights at it instead.  I know it’s risky, but Margaret recently got promoted to Resident, so she works really late.  Mom still has her job, but she doesn’t seem to notice what I do.  That or she just acts like she doesn’t.  I need to be more careful, though.  Those hot summer nights can knock one out really easy.

Bark at the Moon

Margaret and I got married almost as soon as we arrived home.  Mom was pleased.  She had seen me as a teen and couldn’t hide her own doubts.  Margaret seemed pretty happy with her new residence, too, and she got along with my crazy mother.  Which is definitely saying something.  She took a job in medicine.  I claimed I was still waiting for the right job to come along…

Lovin’ Large 101

So, I’m finally at University!  I mean, I’ve always been free, but now I’m totally free.  Kind of.  Margaret came with me, we’re dating… she doesn’t really know how I am, yet.  I mean, she thinks I outgrew it.  Even so, she really doesn’t like the cheerleader.  I do.  She’s hot and she’s a red head.

Crazy Train

So, the last time you saw me, I was just a little tyke and my mom was most definitely not wearing her safari gear.  Well, I’m a teen now and my mom… she looks like one of the Irwins.  I don’t know what she does, but seriously?  That much khaki should be illegal, it burns my eyes!  Way uncool, mom.  Way uncool.

I guess I can’t complain too much.  I remember, kind of, losing dad and how hard it was.  So I am thankful, with or without the khaki overload…
